My cyclone is running great for about 20 mins and then just sputters and dies. Like its out of gas. Let ut sit for a min or two and its works for half mile and does it again. I looked at the breather vent in the head and there is a tan oilly something coming out, quite a bit. I dont wanna run it till I figure this out. Help meEEEEEEEEEEE! |

Plugged gas tank vent? Crack the cap when it is doing it and see if it gets better with a little "whooshing" noise.  |

Ive tried that. And Ive checked the strainer in the tank. My air filter is an after market K n N and the crankcase breather hoses I mentioned went into the stock filter box but the by-pass my new one. Im still wondering what that oily crap is that comes out of the breather vent. |

The oily crap is, well, oil. There's usually a fair amount of water, too. This is exhaust gas from the combustion chambers that blows past the rings into the crankcase. It passes up the pushrod tubes into the rocker boxes, which of course have lots of oil splashing around in them when the motor is running. Some of the oil finds its way out the breather vents. It's normal.
Some folks route the breather puke into catch cans, some folks let it drip on the ground. OEM's have to deal with it for emission reasons, so they route it back into the motor to be recycled.
Just route it where it foesn't mess up your bike or put oil on your tires and it'll be fine.
As far as your motor dying, check for a bad battery, sidestand safety switch, or clutch safety switch if you're satisfied that fuel starvationisn't the issue.

well its kinda funny, like an idiot I took the word of a buddy that was helping me and he said he had changed the fuel filter. I was too preoccupied with the oil coming out of the breather to look for myself. He lied. It seems to be working. HuH? Imagine that. |

Is there a way I can route that oil back into the case or the tank or anywhere but all over my bike? |

You probably don't want to put the breather spooge back into your oil tank.
If you don't want to just let it drip on the ground, rig up a catch can and route the breather line into it. You can buy fancy machined ones (from BWB sponsors, of course) or make your own. I use a little plastic bottle that held two-stroke oil. It probably holds 3 oz. and I empty it out at every oil change-usually less than an oz. in it after 2,000 miles or so.
Put the catch can low on the bike so the lines can run downhill from the breathers.
