In lowering my Ulysses, I am using bar risers so I have room to lower the front end without hitting the fork tops. Is there any particular danger in riding without the stop rings on the front forks as long as the pinch bolts are tightened to spec? |

The stop rings do nothing other than give you a indicator of where the fork is positioned in the tree. It has no structural significance or anything, so feel free to remove it. Just be sure your pinch bolts are nice and tight, and measure the forks to make sure it was lowered evenly. Also, be careful doing this, it can cause the handling to get all screwy and unpredictable, especially if you do not lower the rear to match. Good luck. |

Thanks. I have already lowered the rear, so the front is being lowered to match the rear. |
