I have on 08 1125r with 17,000 miles that has now developed a water pump weep out of the weep hole like the clutch had been weeping. Is anyone else having this problem? |

My '08 had an update kit to fix this. We call the witness hole the 'wetness hole' |

If you use the search function for this board you'll find a fair few threads on this topic and plenty of info.. |

Mine did it after shut down, but has since stopped. It was never much, didn't even drip on the ground. |

I don't think that will fix It as I have a 2010 model and the pump has started leaking. Norrie. |

ignore it. It will either stop or the seal will fail completely. If it's not leaking while the motor is running, then I wouldn't bother taking it to a dealer. |

So I have some weep on my 08, however more alarming is the fact I have a squeak that seem to be coming from the water pump. It actually kills the motor when the motor is cold but seems to be a non-issue wen the bike gets warm. I think the water pump is on its way out. So what happens when the water pump finally gives out? Am I risking anything by running the bike in this condition? |
