so here i am, riding into work this morning on the 1125r. i have been meaning to take a look at the clutch cover and puck to see how my fix for my previous clutch weep is doing but always seem to forget. anyway, im sitting at a stoplight and it dawned on me, so... i reach my hand down and run it across the bottom of the puck and cover. pull my hand back up for a look... and my gloves wet #$@^%@#%^^% damn thing! i probably dont even have 500 miles on it since i put new seals and such in a bit ago. grrr. so i make it to work, shut it off, wipe the stuff off the puck better and reach over to pull the clutch lever while im watching the weep hole. give the lever a pull and out comes more stuff. DAMNIT THIS IS NOT COOL!! so... i go into work and grab a screw driver to pop the puck off. im getting more pissed by the minute... pop the puck off and start looking at it. start wiping stuff off, and think to myself that sure doesnt look like brake fluid?! its beaded up ontop of things like its seperated... hmmm can it be? with the puck off and the clutch piston and cover all dried off i pull the lever plenty of more times. nothing comes out... the more i think about it and the more i look at it, i think hmmm, it was just moisture. that would explain why it looked like condensation behind the puck more then brake fluid wouldnt it... yay for me |
