Is it jumping up and down in terms of temp detected, including rapidly going up to 230+F all of the sudden and then coming back down to reality? | ||

replaced it...need to remove throttle assembly..very easy jt | ||

$10 says the temp sensor wasn't faulty. I had the same thing, and eventually diagnosed it to the ECM. I called Buell (before the shutdown) and they said "yes, sound like that's the case, but hey, have you low-sided recently?" As it turned out, I'd garaged-dropped the bike. "Oh, bleed the coolant at least twice with good heat cycles." And, sure enough... that was the fix. | ||
