Hello all!! Just found this forum and have been reading all the great information on here. This is my first Buell and I absolutely love it. The bike is used and came with some lowering springs that I have contacted the previous owner about picking up the stock springs from. He was a shorter and lighter person than me and I was having trouble setting up the suspension which is how I found out the bike had different springs on it. Based on what I have read on this forum...lowering the bike is not advised! So repairing that is on this winters list. I have already installed an Erik Buell Racing ECM which greatly changed the bikes response and low RPM ability. The bike is so much smoother now! I also installed a Double Bubble windshield which helps at the higher speeds since I am a taller person. Also made my own seat pins for easier access and trimmed the undertail which needs to be refined but works for now! Did I mention it was a birthday present from my wife! Well enough talking here are some pics

Thanks for the welcome! Yeah I found the radiator decals to be too busy. Funny part is, my friend designed them when he worked for Buell and told me he never liked them anyways so I don't feel so bad. The little fella is my amazing nephew who according to him "HAD" to have the gear on while sitting on the bike. |

Nice bike. Welcome. If you have some sort of shorter rear spring I'm sure someone (like me) would love to make a deal with you. What exactly do you have? |

Nice bike. Welcome. If you have some sort of shorter rear spring I'm sure someone (like me) would love to make a deal with you. What exactly do you have? I am unsure what rear spring is currently on the bike. I am waiting for a response from the previous owner whom I have been in contact with once. I bought the bike from a dealership and had the sales guy forward my number to the previous owner. I was told both front and rear springs were changed out to lower the bike. I just don't know exactly what rate or size they are. Once I do I will be able to properly work a deal out with someone. I just don't like being mis-leading if I am trying to sell something. |

Can you take some closeups of your rear spring? It looks like he slid the front forks up in the trees. |

I think the front forks are still in the stock position based on other pictures I have looked at. Here are some quick pics of the rear spring. To me it looks like a spring from an XB. I also measured the bike standing straight up to the middle of the rear turn signal and came up with a height of 29 3/4" give or take a 1/4 inch as its hard to hold the bike up and measure and take a picture by yourself lol. Could someone measure their height for me please?

Thank you for the closeup, indeed they are fine, the pictures in the first post made it look higher than normal. About that rear shock, are there any markings on it? (brand names, part numbers, etc?) |

What's with the front brake line - notice anyone? 08 and early 09 wrapped inside like seen in the second picture here before the recall. The fix -wrapped it outside the fork. Did 10 models move the brake back? or is there a new clip? |

Your wife sounds like a keeper Beautiful bike, but from that 5th picture down, you don't look tall at all |

Beautiful bike and a 2010! Welcome to BWB! Wow you guys were looking closely. Those forks are up and should likely go back. The rear shock looks older. I would not second guess Buell engineering, 'restore' front and rear to original. Erik Buell Racing has take off parts, sold as used w/o warranty but they are new. |

I see no indication that the forks are up and with the information from the previous owner of him having shorter springs installed I am pretty confident that they weren't moved. The front brake line is something I will move back to the front of the forks. |
