Hello everyone! My name is Nathan and I am a film student at the University of Iowa. I love movies and I love motorcycles, so I thought the best way I could spend my summer was to combine the two. So I am currently working on a documentary that follows my high school teacher and good friend Ralph Longus and his friends as they race in CCS. I should have the film finished sometime in August, so until then here are some previews I hope you all enjoy! I spent Sunday afternoon with Nathan, the film maker, and he is working on the final product now. He's done it and redone it more than once so I know the finished product will be very professional. I'm sure it will be worth the wait! | ||

Nathan: That's really nicely done and I commend you for the GREAT sound in trailer #1. It sound awesome over near field monitors. You'll learn a great deal from Ralph and the other Buell racers. These folks are not only infatuated and infectious enthusiasts . . .they are special people. There's an element surrounding Buells that you can capture on film and in your heart but it's damn tough to put in words. A trip to homecoming will explain a lot of it. Be mindful of resources we have here. Matt Barker and a couple others are professional film folks and would, i am certain, be happy to lend advise, help or critique of anything you do. Thank you Court for your words of encouragement, that really meant a lot to me. And thank you to all the Buell riders for your continued support and encouragement throughout this production. Before I started making this film I knew little about Buell. I can now say that without a doubt that this film wouldn't be the same if Ralph and those guys were riding anything other than Buell. I am however disappointed to say that the film is no where near completion. My goal was to have it ready before I head off to Iowa, but with working full time and preparing for school it was an impossibility. So I'm going to take this setback and make the best of it. I'm not going to rush it just to get it done. I'm going to make sure it is something that I can be proud of, and something that will do the Buell community proud. I will give you guys as many updates as possible as I continue in the post production process. When I have a legitimate release date for the film, BadWeb will be the first to know. In the meantime I'd like to share with you guys a short film I did up quick while I was in Arizona last month. My runtime that I'm shooting for is just under and hour and a half. As I'm typing this I'm just finishing moving into my dorm that the University of Iowa. So at first my editing time is going to be limited for about a week or so until I get used to things around here. But I will continue to keep you guys updated on my progress. Nate, Hawkeyes are awesome and so is my hometown of Iowa City. Make sure you buy your beer at Dirty Johns. Actually it is called John's Grocery and it is at the corner of Market and Gilbert streets in IC. Erik, I saw some of the updates to Nathan's documentary a few weeks ago and I was blown away! He's is too good at this! He showed the trailer as part of a job interview and is now working for the Univ of Iowa athletic P.R. office, filming games, etc. So besides school he's a very busy guy. | ||
