very cool Lander_x1. I've wondered what an X1 would look like with a CR headlight. One day i'll wash my X1 and take some pics...... |

Lander that's a cool looking air inlet setup. I like how it keeps the old style box look. What company makes that. I've noticed that you guy's in europe have some nice accessories for buells. |

2001 X1 Lighting
Here's a little photochop how the bike will look once I get the wheels painted and the rear frame as well.
Actually I have another set of new, blood orange color, wheels which I'm going to put on but once they're on, I want to paint or anodize the current wheels to a gold color. |

Zach, Looks like the same set on mine, although I've added the visor's. Got mine from: http://www.flyncycle.com/Dominator_Twin_Motorcycle_Headlight_p/hlutrch.htm To bad mine are Chinese I've looked all over for the German kind that "bads1" has, but was told they were no longer available and were about $450-$500 (ouch) For the price, they arn't the terribly bad. I've just discovered that the bolt that connects the 2 cans together in the center has issues. The vibration from the bike seems to have cracked one of the cans. I talked to rep at the above link, while buying another set, explained what happened and they offered me 15% off with free s/h. Not bad when i never expected any kind of discount. Call them and ask if they have any online discount codes available. Cant hurt and just might save you some money...? When I get into this fix, I think i'll modify the connecting bolt with some kind of rubber rubber washer/bushing or something in between the cans.. to prevent the same thing from happening.

Thanks guys, The air filter was on the bike when I got it, I think it's K&N but not sure. Yep, the headlights are Dominators. Then I just reshaped the visor and mounted it lower. I also raised the rear (same way as Onebadx1) by adding a bracket for the lower mounting point. Distance between the holes is 1" and the stock seat is ok with that much raise. |
