that was sweet! Too bad the rain stayed away. He could have won that thing on wet track. |

WOW, I'm watching the races from this weekend and if you guys didn't catch the DSB race you have truly missed one of the best races i have seen in awhile.. Now on to the Superbike........... Btw, i hate Russell even more. He said you better check yourself before you wreck yourself. |

I really hope someone got a picture or a screen shot of May bringing up the rear tire after breaking hard (turn 8?) on lap 8.. That was cool! |

>>>Man, seeing that #99 in front gave me goosebumps! Cold not have said it better . . . . these guys and gals . . from Erik Buell to each and every Elf have done an amazing job. You don't do this against the $500,000/weekend crowd without total focus and dedication. I had the chance to learn more today and confess I am impressed beyond my wildest dreams with how this team has done this. Information, down the the most mundane comments, has been captured, analyzed and each week they bring the sum if the BOK to date to the track, Geoff focus and puts what they know and have learned down on pavement. This is really amazing stuff . . . . . . could well be the groundwork for what may become another American motorcycle racing legend. The doubters will find a much smaller audience these days. I can't tell you how proud I am of this entire team. Court |

Awesome race! So, did anyone see what happened with Geoff's off-track excursion a few laps from the end? Man, he was SO close. The commentators were almost constantly talking about him up to that point, broke for a commercial right after it happened, and I don't think mentioned him again. Next year will be REALLY interesting... |

My favorite shot was Geoff "backing it into the corner" with light showing between the back tire and the track. Awesome! A few more HP so he wouldn't have had to push quite so hard in the corners...totally different outcome IMO. The 1190 should be a game changer. The announcers did give Geoff a mention in the wrap up..he's made a good impression . |

An Anony answered my question regarding why Geoff went off-track in another thread: "He went wide because Zemke tried to stuff him and hit him underneath. Geoff, rather than getting tangled up and getting hurt, ran wide and off into the wet grass. That put him too far behind to catch up, but turned his fastest lap on the last lap of the race." |

It was cool seeing Geoff take the lead. I've bashed the Speed coverage before and overall they are not good, but they did an OK job when Geoff went to the front. I thought Scott Russell's comment that the Super Bikes only use 3 gears around Barber was very interesting. |

Taped it. Yes TAPE, they still make it you know. I will try to get it to disc (fighting against the tape- Murphy) and the into the MacBook and then onto you all. I will try to get the passes, excursions and comments from the SpeedTV guys. What a race Geoff made of it. I havn't danced and cursed like that since Slick and Daytona!!! |

What a race Geoff made of it. I havn't danced and cursed like that since Slick and Daytona!!! Yeah! It was a VERY similar feeling, wasn't it? In both cases, there was a feeling of joy and disbelief seeing them battling up front . . . . . . and both races had disappointing ends. . . . But in the case of Daytona, we now know it was a lost first battle in a longer and ultimately successful war. As the 1190RS video says, "To be continued . . . " |

I put these speed TV files together in an edited 3 minute segment but for now, these parts are here, until Speed TV hauls me over & gives me a ticket. I hope not. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roBYi1MGBwU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ_N6KKCd8k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzuWLY8o6Cg |

Did anyone else see Geoff's big side-slide near the end of the clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzuWLY8o6Cg ? Must be a visual trick but it looks like he slides forever as he kicks up a rooster-tail of water. Bit scary, huh? |

It says a lot that the 1125 is competing on the same playing field as the IL4 literbikes. Bummer that he got bumped, it could have been an even higher finish. |

Geoff is such a great sportsman and ambassador for Erik Buell Racing specifically and AMA in general. |

That's what I keep getting from folks at the various races . . . everyone is really impressed with the Buell and his riding but they all go on to comment about how personable and pleasant Geoff is and how well he represents Buell, racing and the AMA. Impressive traits. I met Geoff just briefly the day they were filming for the History Channel and I was very impressed. |

Hahahaha . . . you make a good point! I was named after an English race car driver and doomed from the outset. I tried being a racer in New Jersey last week and all I got was a Court appearance 3 weeks hence.
