I know there has been other posts on tires but what can fit? I found dunlop GT501 110/90/16 and 140/90/16 look kinda tall but? | ||

Ok thanks I guess I'll pull the rear wheel complete off my 05 I pulled the top end off of and run the stock Dunlop til I have time to get a new set I have to hurry up and get out of the rain up here and come to California. Be at Pismo Dunes Thursday working in the area about a month. I may have some time for riding around the area any suggestions would be appreciated. CV | ||

You cant go wrong with that area either. Most of the roads are great, if you hit dirt, turn around. There's plenty more pavement and minimal, if any, traffic. | ||

Getting ready to leave and out of time I looked at the 05's 1600 mi Dunlop about shot.... well off to Pro c******er here in Vancouver said bring the wheel we have a tier here K630 Dunlop 68.00 120/80/16 ok It should work. got there 130/90/16 looked TALL so down the road I go Cycle G**r they have 130/80/16 in k630 for 89.99 but would price match Ok do it ..... twenty minutes later "I got the bead broke and I can put it back on" he says. I go back the tire machine wont clear the drum for the belt he wants me to pull it, we clamped the rim back on the machine and just used tire spoons (I had to help)but no labor charge and I can get on the road. The first shop said they were seeing 6k to 7k on ninga 250's so I 'll let you know how it goes | ||

The K630 130/80-16 was a larger tire that in early years was reported to fit. It was found out though that this was not always the case as some swingarms had better clearance. Perhaps hammering in the shock tab will help (like for the Avon 140/70-16 Viper strykes) if it does rub. Just a warning to be careful. The K630 I mounted rubbed the swingarm. | ||

Pirelli makes good tires for the Blast. They get about the same mileage, but they don't shimmy in rain grooves and they have much better traction and all around handling. |
