With the constant negativity towards the HD dealerships, I just wanted to give my dealer here in Fresno some praise. Stator burnt out and I limped into the dealership on the 16th, last week. Diagnosed quickly and parts for the new stator were ordered on the 17th. Parts arrived yesterday morning, the 22nd. Service department calls me around noon on the 22nd to let me know the bike was ready to go. Oh yeah, they fixed the clutch weep issue in that time frame as well (parts were ordered previously and waiting.)

New stator installed in 4 business days with parts not in stock. Pretty impressive.

Anyone not happy with their local dealer and within reasonable distance should consider Fresno HD.

Between my original XB and 2 1125s I have probably made 8-10 trips to Fresno HD/Buell. I have only written a check out to them once (the 500 miles service on the XB) and the rest has been warranty work or recall/product program work.

The work has been done correctly and thoroughly each and every time. Also, I get a nice and clean bike in return as well. I wish I knew what kind of rags they use as there is never the lint I always end up with after wiping her down.

Anyway, this post was for a guy who lurks here. He rides a CR and I met him at Buttonwillow during a track day not long ago. He lives in Nipomo and isn't happy with the local dealer.

Microfiber towels leave no lint.

It is 597 miles from my house but I guess that given the problem I just took mine in for is the charging issue and my problems only occur in city driving, I am probably more likely to be able to get to your dealer than my local one.

However, I did just take mine to Hacienda H-D in Scottsdale rather than Chandler (where I bought it) and they were a lot more confidence inspiring and actually seemed to have some understanding of what I was talking about. *fingers-crossed*

Glad they're going to be my dealer when I move back to Lemoore!

Sorry for the side-track, but microfiber towels can leave lint. Actually their "lint" is very tiny and practically invisible.
Clean a glass window with one, especially an old towel, and you'll see micro-sized fibers on the glass in the right light. I was amazed when I saw that!

Anyhow, glad there is a competent, caring dealer in CenCal. I'll have to look them up the next time I'm heading up through that area.

Kudos to Uke's HD. They had a stator in stock. Dropped it off, picked it up next business day. I can't complain.

That's really good to know. I'm about two hours from there and will definitely check with them for any needs. Thanks.
