I only have about 4,500 miles on my bike and the belt broke off about four teeth last night and when i call the dealer the told me that the belt is a normal ware and tear item. Anybody have any insight on the issue??? |

Dealer lies. Belt is covered under the original 2 years/unlimited mileage warranty. |

Definately ask another dealer - mine confirmed it is covered under the warranty |

I would have to say that dealer is double dipping, once for warranty reimbursement and once for you. It's good you found out about that bad dealer before any major service work may have been done there. |

they may just be ignorant about our belt too. is it any different for the buells as opposed to the HD's with regards to warranty replacements? |

I'm on my 5th belt and all were replaced under warranty... Even the one I couldn't find/recover and return to the dealer. Dealer said as long as the factory belt guards are in place that the belt is covered under the warranty. I'm up to 60,000 miles and fortunately haven't thrown a belt in a long time... |

Might just be the person he spoke to was ignorant of the deal. Escalate to the Service Manager. If you still don't get satisfaction, THEN look elsewhere. |

A good dealer will warranty it for you, a bad one wont. I had to go to three dealers before I found one that did it. |

Ask your dealer to call SPOC. The information they provided you with is inaccurate. |
