Al...Thanks for the link. There are currently two Buell clutches on EBay. Both are going for $100 and have no bids. One has 10K miles on it, and the other has 13K. I think I was fairly lucky to get 35K on mine, and would think that 15-20k is more typical. Don't you guys thing that $100 is a lot of something with those kind of miles on it? I was looking a jpcycles.com, and they have aftermarket replacement kits with both metal and friction plates for around $80. That's the direction I'm leaning towards right now. While we're on the subject, does anyone have a spring compression tool that is required to remove the clutch plates? Or is there a similar tool that I could purchase somewhere that would get the job done? Thanks again guys. - Jason |

Jason, motion pro makes a nice one that comes complete with the adapter necessary for the XL clutch. The typical big twin style sold by all the others will work with an adapter or a little creativity.Don't put a heavy duty spring in there, and the extra plate clutch isnt worth it in my opinion. |

Thanks for the input. I've found the desired stock muffler. Hey shotgun, the stock can is nice to have for long rides/road trips. The V&H sure is clean, light weight, and sounds good, but my head get's weird (or weirder) after a couple hundred miles. And the rear bracket is not reliable, I've had to weld it twice. Dan |

Leeaw, Thanks for your kind offer. I have a V&H, that I swap out for the stock unit from time to time. Thankfully it was not on for this ride. Dan |

I ended up buying the Milwaukee Twins friction plates and steel drive plates from J&P cycles. Cost me $75 + $35 for next day delivery (gotta enjoy every remaining riding day here in Ohio...they're getting rare). Still a lot cheaper than from HD. My 8 friction plates alone would have cost me $160. Thanks for the advice guys. - Jason |

Front Fender for S1 Lightning. I need a replacement front fender for my 1997 S1 Lightning. I'd like it in black, or carbon fiber ... silver would do too. Let me know if anyone has one, condition and price. Thanks. - Bud |

I'm looking for the mounting hardware to mount a chin spoiler on an M2. I have all needed part numbers, but all the dealers I've contacted won't sell them individually. Anyone have an old set lying around they'd like to get rid of?? Thanks, Carl

Try Daves or Manchester HD, as any dealer should sell you the parts. I got them when I needed them. Pick another dealer!

Mr Bill, Any three wire switch that works for a HD will work on a Buell. You will just have to splice the wires together. Dennis Kirk sells on for $19.95 part no: H20-245. Phone no: 1-800-328-9280 |

Dan: Here I am trying to make a $ and you give the guy a great way to solve his problem !!!!! Be Safe BTW, if you buy the one on ebay, you do not have to splice the wires. enjoy Tom |

Dana, Contact BluzM2. Don't know if he got a jacket yet but that's what he was looking for. The two of you might or might not be able to swing some sort of a deal. He's out playing in the salt this week though. |
