So now all that I need to be whooping up on ya'll are some brake pads. And a school....and a suit...and some experience. Well I may not be whooping you guys but I'll be having fun! |

Once started it's hard to stop.. Don't do what I did and spend all your $ on parts and not have any for the track... crashing don't help either |

I hear this a lot, "your best investment is in yourself." The 1125 is a natural track bike that's faster than I am. I'll always need more training. |

Nope, just the basics for me guys. I figure I will be racing for D.F.L for a while. But I also think that my track time will make me a better rider on the street, and it's something I've always wanted to do. And my wife is all for it so why not?! |

Speaking of wife, does she know whether or not your life insurance will cover you while racing? |

Med and life insurance are biggies. I quizzed Aetna before signing up - had to make sure I was covered for racing, scuba and flying (all 3 are common exclusions) Racing is NOT an addiction... ... and the first step to recovery is to ADMIT that you have a problem. ...problem? WHAT problem? |

Yeah, I'm pretty lucky. I'm in the Army and the insurance and medical care is ok. I'm covered if anything happens. |

Starting out is hard... trailer, tire warmers, DOTs and slicks and then it will rain need rains, parts after a low side, 2010 game over in July... no problems here... wounder what a port and polish would cost me and I really like the full fairings?? oh yeah track time track time track time.... |

Welcome to the fun, Budgolf!! Racing is by far the most fun thing I've ever done. When you go back to work on Monday and your co-workers are bragging about their golf score or the fish they caught, you can say, "I went racing and spent several minutes riding at over 100mph!" Keep us posted on your progess! |

Well guys stuff came today. I'll take her out first thing in the morning. But damn does it sound good with that HMF on it. The videos and sound clips you see and hear on the net really don't do it justice. I got the ecm in also. This weekend I'll do the noidectomy and mount the belly pan. Pics tomorrow! |

smoke nailed it... laps at race pace. I learned more in 4 (4-8 lap) sprint races than the 8 total track days I have had.. (11 total but it rain at 3 of them) I think everyone here would agree if you want to go fast just accept the fact you are going to crash... stock plastic holds up VERY well. |
