I had an oil leak develop on a ride today. I'm not sure where its leaking, the rear jug is dry, but oil is laying on top of starter and in valley on top of trans. |

Sounds like mine. Shine a light between the starter and engine case to see if it is wet there. I'm waiting on a starter gasket to fix it. |

+1. And on my 2000 M2, I couldn't figure out a way to get the starter off unless I removed the header. On the other hand, that gasket had a slow leak for like a year or two on my M2 and never seemed to get worse. I just dabbed it up every now and then. |

The jug on my s2t is dry but if you look up at the top of the left side of the rear jug, I can see oil drips from my rocker box area. I thought it was a starter gasket at first, til I had my hand on the starter and a drip fell from above lol. Good luck on your leak. Brad |

Make sure you use a quality primary gasket also. |
