Do you have the stock pegs? Did they drag as well or was it just the pipe? |

Stock pegs. My pegs do drag but they also did with the stock pipe. The stock pipe has no damage to it. No damaged to anything else. Im not liking how its starting to look. This happened after I did my tire change. |

Fastritchie and Craiga, Thanks for posting this and confirming that it happened more than once. I am planning on my track bike conversion and a Barker's was on the list. This is unacceptable for my purpose so I'll spend the money on other upgrades first. |

Pretty sure this one won't drag, but it is kinda loud.

Dean, that's the problem I have with my home track in FL. They have a 104dB limit on pipes and they WILL send you home. Hopefully your next designs can address the power and noise compromise. Thanks |

I don't know about richie but mine hit in a deep right hand corner, my suspension was loaded, and hit a ditch, which bottomed out the muffler. It was due to the road conditions more than a poorly designed product, I love my barkers and the customer service is awesome. The problem was more new England roads rather than a scrape due to lean angle. But like I said, idk about fastrichies story. |

When I first got my bike I didn't set the preload I just went for a ride and I dragged the stock exhaust in a tight corkscrew with a dip in the pavement. Set the preload correctly and never touched the stock can again. I can't imagine the Barker touching on anything except a really odd road surface with too little preload. It's higher than the stocker and the pegs would scrape long before anything else. I'd call it a fluke, and I seriously doubt any race track is going to have such a terribly wavey surface on the curves. |

I got my preload setting a little harder than stock. I never had this problem until I put on a set of pures. |

Lean angle? Still boggles my mind how that can could touch anything being basically in the center of the bikes. But I see your pics. I'm too slow to get that far over |

I have pures on my 1125, and have not had any problems. I ride pretty quick, but I am not a kneedragger either. I cant see how the barker protrudes any farther then the stock pipe? Thats very interesting. |

Im not going that fast. Im usually going between 60 and 110ish on back roads corners. I would consider triple digits on back roads a pretty good clip. |

Fastrichie - is that on Fuller Hill Road? Do you hang off the inside of the bike when you corner or do you stay in the middle of the saddle? 60-110mph is pretty darn fast for backroad riding. I have some corners near me where I'm easily knee down at 45-50mph, and some on/off ramps that are in the 80-90 range. Anything more than that near me is asking to go to jail. They persecute riders in FL. Did you know that in FL it is a felony to go over 20 mph over the posted speed limit but its a regular moving violation to do the same thing in a SUV? |

I ride a road in New York near Harrim state park daily. I lived in Daytona beach for about 2 years and had a 1000 gsxr when I was there. The cops there let me go for alot of things. In virginia about 2 years ago I got a reckless driving ticket for speeding. I ended up with about 500 fine, 800 for a lawy er, and 1 day in the courts jail. That was doing 90 in a 65 my xb12r. I been in more trouble on my xb the my 1125. I got and beat clean a reckless driving in new york last year again on my xb. This year I had to be good and I have only had minor tickets. I fight every ticket I get and I win alot. When I ride it depends on what mood im in. I do like to hang off the side my bike alot. I also like to ride down mountains and steer with my hands off the bars and just using my pegs to turn. |

At least it is consistent where it grounds out. Did either of you have a slide as a result of the tires getting unweighted by the Barker touching down? |

No, Thank god. I actually just thought that my rear shock bottomed out and that's what the bang was. I was surprised to find this a few days later. |

Same spot that sucks. I did it 2 separate times. There was no loss of control. No sliding. Nothing felt loose. before I when out the 2nd time I adjusted my preloads harder. Im going to make it a little harder later 2 day and try again. |

Fastrichie - I'm probably the last one to be telling you this, but you should take it to the track. If you're riding that hard on the street the risk factor is greatly elevated. This could be a great thing for you. This is how AMA and WSBK Champion Scott Russell got discovered. He got known in the North Georgia mountains as being a real hot shoe, and then friends encouraged him to go racing. The rest, as they say, is history. |
