I am picking up a 9R this week and I remember seeing at one dealer that they listed them as two-year warranty and the dealer I buying mine at believes it is one year. Can someone clue me in??? |

If it is a 03 it has a one year warranty. The 04s have a 2 year. Ride to the edge! Dave HD/Buell Cycle Center Waterloo Iowa Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |

Absolutely not would be my guess. The legal and retro-flashback implications would be enormous. Tell ya what...if, just if, you can craft the argument, clue me in. I bought my F-250HD Ford the year before they changed the warranty. They also changed the mirrors and I see no reason why, if they'd change the warrantty, they'd not change the mirrors. You know, thinking about it, they also went with the new compressor for the A/C...yeah...I want that too. By the way, I'd also like to be paid the difference in my "pre-raise" portion of the year and get those hours "corrected" for the marginal increase! I love the idea. DYNA FOR PRESIDENT!

Not arguing Court, just asking the question if they would or not? No real difference between the 2 years besides the belt & gearing. Same exact motor & tranny setup. It would be a little incentive on Buells or the dealers behalf to unload any unsold 03's. I tell ya what, if I was interested in the XB9 & had my choice I would take the 04. Another year warranty, better belt & pulley setup, less guards, etc for what? maybe $1000 more? |

>>>It would be a little incentive on Buells or the dealers behalf to unload any unsold 03's. Not that I MIGHT be able to make work...your choice: A: some low rate financing or B: the 2 year warranty The key is that there MUST be some "quid pro quo", some "consideration" invovled or the deal gets on very thin ice. I am thrilled to have seen Buell done the change in warranty |

edited*** I am betting that they were including a 2 year warranty in their final price and it was not something offered from Buell. So, what kind of deal could one swing on an extended warranty, as I know they have room to deal on extended car warranties, and would an HD warranty really be worth it? I washed an waxed my M2 and I am really getting sad to think I have to sell it. I have become so attached to it... Dyna, your choice may be an 04, but a grand is 12.5%, which is a fair amount. And the sole 04 the dealer has is an XB12S in black which is the demo, and they sold it already. Personally, I love the white bodywork, but would love the white rims from an 04. edited by leeaw on September 07, 2003 |
