hey guys, need some advice here. ive got an 07 xb12r with a micron and k&n. ive used emcspy a few times to get the fuel mapping right and when its hot it seems to run great. problem is, when i start it and its cold, it runs terrible. wont idle whatsoever and spits and sputters while riding until it gets warmed up. i was wondering if this would be the cold start enrichment making it run too rich or if there is something else i should be looking for. also, would it be a bad idea to cut back the cold start enrichment or would that cause more issues than the bad running? please help guys. |

i had a similar problem with my 04 after i put the k&n filter in. it ended up just being the air sensor. |

would it be worth it to set the cold start enrichment down closer to 100% and see if that helps it run better when starting cold or would it be safer to just get the new oxygen sensor right away? where did you get it and how much was it? did that fix it completely? |

you could try it just to be safe. got it from ironmachine.com it was only $20. harley dealer might be a couple bucks less. and yes it fixed it completely. started right up with no hesitation. |

well, i lowered my cold start enrichment and, although it still runs rough at first start due to the very high cold start enrichment (around 150%), after a couple of minutes it brought it down to around 110% and ran much better. i dont know if there is any way to lower the original cold start enrichment but i can deal with the little bit of hesitation at the beginning to have it run well after a few minutes. |
