Any thoughts on where to get a good one other than HD? |

I'll be getting a new one this season. I'll wind up buying some sort of name brand, other than HD. I have been looking for a drycell for it, but Optima does'nt make one. Some folks here have had great success with Wal mart cheapies. I think I may actually spit out the big coin for the EeBbRr race version. I dunno. I know the one in my bike is stock from HD, and 15.5k so far. I just put it on the trickler now and then. Give me a holler. We'll do lunch. |

I've seen on XB board and or Big Bad and Dirty, people have dealt with Battery Mart.com with positive results. |

My local bike store (import one) had a cheaper battery then WalMart or the auto parts store (for once). It was a new brand, a new fancy gel something or other with some kind of nano tech something or other. Maybe marketing smoke and mirrors, but it looked like a great battery and it had a great warranty. It was for a Suzuki I was restoring for a friend, but I bet they have Buell sized ones as well. I can try and dig up the brand, but I think it is really common, it was at another UJM store out on the shelf last week when I was getting jets for the kids KX-60 (Clinton County Motorsports). |

I just bought the harley battery, the terminals bolt up properly which is better than the Deka that was in there before it. It cranks and holds a charge for more than a couple days so it's way better than the old Deka. |

HD batteries are among the best and while not the cheapest, they are a very good value... don't forget that they are AGM batteries. |

$66.00, Free Shipping to your door. It is an AGM battery, American Made is the claim. 200 cold crank. It is what I've been running this year. I do use a maintainer when it sits for a day. Here's where I got mine: http://bohannonbattery.com/html/deka/etx14.html 66 bones in this link or 72 bones to let them look up the bat. for your bike. The terminals worked for my Uly. It also had a second set of places to bolt to the terminals. I'm not affiliated with them. My hardly battery died after a year. (Message edited by ourdee on September 08, 2010) |
