Just caught the end of the Speed broadcast from NJ AMA Superbike today. Geoff May on the Erik Buell Racing 1125RR got another 10-ten finish with a 9th position, just behind Larry Pegram's Duc 1098R. More importantly, AHEAD of the 2 BMW S1000RR uber-bikes also fielded by Congrats to the team for their astounding performance. Considering how minuscule their budget is compared to even other privateer teams, I believe it proves how awesome a platform the 1125 is. Imagine if the 1190RR was legal! Even Scott Russell commented how down on power the 1125RR is compared to most bikes on the grid. |

Do you get Speed TV? On the East Coast it will be on again in the middle of the night at 3am and 4am. The listed schedule looks like the Superbike race is first but I'm pretty sure it's the one at 4am. Do yourself a favor and record both races (Daytona Sportbike and Superbike) the DSB race (600s) has been way better racing the entire season. |

Tutt - Chris Peris, Team Iron Horse BMW finished in 11th and Tim Bemisderfer, Bio Weapon, finished 13th. E_B_R finished in front a bunch of GSX-R 1000's and the 2nd Pat Clark YZF-R1. OUTSTANDING! |

But of course anyone out of the top 5 gets ZERO air time. Speed: they suck at covering MC races. WTG Buell! I guess one of these days they'll force some recognition with a podium finish. |

Actually May finished 8th. McCormick caused a red-flag on the last lap, so the standings went back to the previous lap's order - at which point McCormick was ahead of May and May was in 9th. But since McCormick actually was the one who crashed, the AMA (rightfully) moved him back giving Geoff the 8th place and his second best finish of the season. |

Either way . . . . good show to the folks at ERIK BUELL RACING ! Pretty cool to see a 12 person upstart consistently in the Top 10. Congratulations to Geoff and all the folks at Erik Buell Racing who have worked so hard. |

I'm impressed by the solid showing and great consistency from such a lean team. Great job Geoff and Erik Buell Racing! |

Official Results from AMA Pro Racing: http://www.amaproracing.com/rr/events/results.cfm? year=2010&eid=2010011045&discipline=RR&class=SB&ty pe=F&rnum=1&class_sort=all Wish they got 8th, but 9th is just as great. Click on the rider names on the link above and it gives you timing and scoring data from their transponders for each lap. Pretty cool how the 1125RR is only about 4-5mph (which is huge) down on the top trap speeds and the lap times were barely only 1 second or so off winner Josh Hayes. I have been a racing fan for years and this is just damn impressive how they can compete with bigger budget teams on supposedly "much better developed" machinery. Great marketing strategy too as I am just so proud of my 1125R! |

JNG, those are the preliminary results, not the official results. You can find the official results here: http://www.amaproracing.com/rr/events/standings.cf m?class=sb or here: http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=4 1852 But here's the REALLY cool thing. Looks like Geoff has found some extra speed this morning: http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=4 1866 |

Zac, from what I have read, the S1000RR has too much azz for the tracks. They are not yet doing well because they are still learning how to detune it properly to optimize lap times and save tires. |

Go Geoff! I watched a bit of the race late last night on Speed. I only caught about 30 mins of the middle of the race (Geoff was in 7th at that point). Didn't get to see him much, but he did get a little blurb along the lines of, "Glad to see Geoff on the Buell bike back out here." Basically just sending him a shoutout ... they know you're there on the cusp. |

Just imagine if Erik Buell Racing could field the 1190 instead! Geoff would be tapping on Yates' and Hayden's shoulders..."Uh, pardon me while I squeeze through here". |

All they have to do is get hd to allow them to build how ever many 1190 street bikes that's need to make it legal, and it could happen. |
