No real "edition" that I recall -- a body set from Buell if I remember. Unlike an X1 White Lightning or Extreme Carbon Fiber. DAve |

It wasn't called "Road Rash", it was "Molten ..something or other" I believe. I doubt it is a one of 50. I've seen a couple here in San Diego. |

Yep, it was a P&A paint set. They were numbered like the HD paint sets are, with a little logo on the tank that said "1/50", or "24/50", or whichever number it was. Standard bike, accessory bodywork. And the name is right on the tip of my brain. Dammit. |

I can't remember either. Dan Dunn has a set of that paint as well though. |

I'm 99% sure the body work is called 'Road Rash' |

They used to sell a set with a lightning motif. I used to pine for that while I was unemployed and just barely making payments on the bike itself. |

I've seen them too just like Rat says HD put out paint sets for the Buells too. Funny how they didn't do this for the XB's. I was expecting a limited edition XB to come out in the future |

They did make limited paint sets for the XB. A stripe and a lightning patterned motif... They weren't numbered but only a handful of sets were made... |

Yes, those were numbered HD P&A items from (99-02?) not stand alone bike models, as stated earlier. You could purchase out of the HD P&A catalog, but some of the dealers put them on new bikes at sale. I think the price was something like $2,499 for the complete set, or something like that if I recall correctly, it was only for the X1. They were done by either Calibre' in Port Washington, WI or Color Shop in San Diego/Mexico and they painted stock body work. |

Was it called 'Liquid Lightning'? |

Road Rash sounds right. IIRC, the gray is a concrete motif. And with XB's not *having* paint...tough to do a paint set lol. Although there were the couple mentioned above, and the desert camo Uly... |

"Liquid Lightning" was another set you could buy. 100 sets made. This one is "Road Rash", (50 set edition), I agree. Nice bike, even though I would prefer it on a 02 :-) |

I was fortunate to get the 2001 apparel and accessories catalog when I bought my S1 last month. This looks to be it.

He needs some denim shorts and a slap bracelet to match that '90's' paint |
