Got you covered for the trailer storage, Michael. We're just north of the border-crossing so drop it on the way through. |

The court down is on! Only one week to go. BTW: Ed from the Vernon Travel Lodge called to advise me that he will be releasing any un-booked rooms on Monday. If you haven’t made reservations in Vernon yet, I would advise you do so toot sweet. See you all in Whistler.

Thank's for the update Jim. Talked to Ed when we made our reservations, seems like a nice guy, hope he knows what he's getting into. Did he tell you how many rooms had been reserved? Loni and I are heading north Wednesday morning. We'll be in Whistler Thursday afternoon for an extra day of fun and merriment, I think John will be there Thursday also. Instead of heading home Monday, we are headed to Jasper or Banff, weather permitting, anyone care to join us? Can't wait to see Ya'll, Chris |

Chris Ed said that 11 rooms are currently booked for Vernon. He also claims to have several motorcycle groups stay each year. But non like ours, I'm sure. Ride swift and safe. |

Sounds like my bike will be out of the shop tomorrow. Pesky oil leaks should be resolved. Despite the monsoon outside today, the forecast is looking pretty good. However, I will be packing the rain gear on this trip :-) John |

Fear not fellow riders! This deluge was ordered in efforts to rid the province of the forest fires and to clean the air of the toxic plume that has hampered visibility and well being as of late. Sun and warmth will grace out skies plenty early enough to welcome your arrival to our humble homeland. See you all soon. |

In answer to Michael's question, Jaci and I are planning on riding to Whistler maybe mid-morning Friday and would welcome company. Galen will be in town and may join us (?). John? We're pretty flexible. Jim is delayed by work. |

I've heard rumors of washouts on the Pemberton road, although I think this was a while ago - not the current storm - Anyone know about this? |

Just a few days left before border insanity ... Will be leaving from here early Friday with plans to get to I5 just north of Burlington in the afternoon and arriving in Whistler around the dinner hour. The BMWinnebago needs a bath but that's a minor priority. Still need to find an English to Canadian dictionary (no hablo Canuk). But I do understand Galenese, maybe he can translate for me. See you on the north side soon. |

I have a commitment at dinner time on Friday so I won't be in Whistler until about 10:00pm but I am fully prepared to catch up. Can someone text me where everyone ends up. I'm guessing the patio at Citta will be the first stop. Herve |

Eric, I don't see myself leaving YVR tomorrow before noon - probably sometime in the early afternoon between noon & 2 to avoid the traffic rush. If you change your mind about leaving mid morning and want to meet somewhere in YVR between noon & 2 let me know. That goes for any other raiders out there as well. We're out in Kitsalano so I plan to cross over to W Van via the Burrard & Lion's Gate bridges (i.e. not going as far east as Burnaby - Deeley's - unless there is big group to meet up with there. Otherwise, see ya'all in Whistler! MG |

Spud, I will gladly handlel all your translation needs for the trip. Also glad you get to make it! I think that as for me I should be in Jimmys' neighborhood around 3ish with a Whistler debut around 5! I'm thinking of drinking to excess upon my arrival, just to shake things up a-bit! You may find me scantily dressed dancing on a flag pole. Or a barista, as I am a fully-bloody-hell-damn single man now, and I'm gona start acting like it! See ya tomorrow! |

I'm in a bit of crisis mode eating Robaxicette like Smarties. I have to get out of Dodge before traffic gets thick so the sooner the better. Drag me out of the hot-tub when you-all arrive and I'll switch meds to tequila. |

Just to let you know ... Made it home last night just after 8PM, but not without incidence. It took almost an hour to cross the border at Nelway because I was invited to sit in a small white room with a tiny window on the door wearing a new pair of bracelets behind my back. The crossing started very mundane with pleasant conversation related to where ya been, where ya goin, any fresh fruits or weapons. It was tempting to make a joke about the banana in my pants from the last question but I just wanted to get home. Being satisfied with my responses, the portly woman dressed like rambo entered her crossing shack next to me and I hear her say, "oh my, armed and dangerous, oh my, oh my, armed and dangerous". Then her blonde butch partner pops out the guard station with her gun pointed at me and a very unpleasant expression on her face. I was instructed to step off the bike, place my hands on the table in front of me. Then hands behind the back, fingers interlaced, palms down and cuffs on. This was followed by a pat down that felt more like a deep tissue massage and I was sent to the little white room with fears of border raid becoming border rape. A bit later lady rambo opens the door to the white room to inform me that I'm free to go now. Apparently there is an evil spudman lurking at the borders with the same name as mine. I was given a leaflet and a comment card and instructed to have a nice day. But home at last with a total of 1384.4 smiles form the trip. |

Had a pretty good ride home considering. We did the Westside Road, the Green Mountain Road, the Old Hedley Road and they were all dry. We had lunch in the pub in Princeton and Lorraine, Don and John showed up. Got into the rain going up the hill into Manning Park and it rained all the way home. I will be investing in anything that will keep my visor from fogging next time. Hope everyone got home safe. Harv |

Wow, Spudman that really sucks. Homeland Security has been a bit jumpy ever since 911 but over reacting to a simple spudgun has set a new limit. You’d think that they would have come to expect so much from an Idahodian! Glad you made it home safe.

Wow, Spudman sho had an eventful weekend hey? That sucks at the border... but those would be your border guards, not ours! We are too damn polite, snicker...! After my desertion before Penticton, I almost went Hwy 1, but after realizing I did indeed need to head toward Penticton, I worked my way there. Fully intended to ride the whole way home alone if I had to! Thank goodness Don & John waited for me @ gas station in Penticton and we actually caught up to the boys at the pub (yes, tough feat, that lol) We had awful rain allll the way home, soaked to the core. Not nice. And those gloves you kindly left for me Jimmy? Didn't work, but the thought was nice. So after losing my peeps, almost hitting a deer on Old Hedley Road, it was good to get home! Interesting weekend to say the least. Really good to see everyone, looking forward to photos! I only took a few but will post them soon on facebook. Ride on, Lo (and Don) |
