Quote from a poster from the Salt Flats: "Buell at Bub's is like Hayabusa at Maxton ... half the field ..." |

One of my other computers has been dedicated to that site since the weekend, hitting "refresh" as time allows. Great stuff. |

There seem to be Buells everywhere you look here. Blasts,tubers,9's and 12's.TWO XBRR's!!!! and an 1125.Have not seen alot run but some really nice looking bikes. There is a really nice XB engined altered bike, very stretched and low, done very well. Aaron Wilson is there with a couple of his bikes. Traction on course is BAD,speeds way down for everyone,my friend and racing partner,Greg Watters, has fast pass of meet at 218 on his turbo Gix 750,and he spun for the entire timed mile. Even with bigger turbo I could only get a 189 pass on the naked 750,spinning nearly entire track. |

Anybody who thinks going fast on the salt is just "twist it and go" - needs to pay attention here! |

One of my ProCharger sponsored guys can now call his ride the "Worlds Fastest Bagger" Went 183 mph today. 98" Twin Cam Harley - 212hp! It's a 2006 HD Electra Glide running a full 1125R front end. You can see pictures on Facebook under T Man Performance. |

Hey, FMJ. Please pass on our congratulations to Mr. Watters on his 229 run on the bike. Well done. He's putting Yunyu on the map. Hope the traction improves tomorrow if you get another shot. |

The 2010 Bubs Land Speed Trials was great. One of the smoothest ones so far. A lot of runs each day. Good stuff. REX |

Don't forget this coming meeting in September. It is at the Straw Hat Pizza Parlor in San Leandro. September 6th, 6 pm. Team Tracy will be there with her team, straight from the Bonneville Salt Flats. Tracy went even faster this year on her bike. Come on out for some great updates on Bonneville. Fireman Jim Higgins also did outstanding with his Aussie friends taking many of the top honors at the event. REX |

Greg got a wheelspinning 229 MPH pass on his 750 to get top speed of meet, running faster than the liners and all of the Busa's there. My naked 750 managed a 199+ mph pass with a calculated 30% wheel slip.Kimmy got award for top female at salt. All in all ,a good meet.Looking forward to better salt at WOS. |

We are home as well. My 500cc Buell Blast started out with a 222 mph pass!!! Unfortunately we were never able to get it above 115 mph again. We did set a new 500 cc naked record at 115.8 mph so we are happy but we know we can go lots faster. We also stuck a 607cc size cylinder on it and ran over 126 mph but we had some issues that prevented us from making a full pass. NEXT YEAR!!!! Aaron Wilson won fastest American V=twin this year with a pass over 194 mph with a naked bike!!! He said the tach showed he was doing 210 mph but he did not have enough weight over the rear tire. This on a bike with no fairing!!! |

Firemanjim wasn't most everyones speed down this year? Was the salt wet? or soft? constant headwind? I've read of several riders saying speeds were down but not why. |

Everyone was slow---rain on sunday night so salt was wet and soft. Best run on a big bike was 211 by turbo Busa. Our good friend,Richard Assen ran 260 last year and fought handling from the salt condition. He was at 230 but had to roll off before timed mile. My partner,Greg Watters had fast time of meet on his 750--went 229,geared to the moon 18/32,should have been good for 260+. |

Jim, it was good seeing you at the Bub's meet. Glad to see you were able to keep you bike upright once you left the pre-stage area... rt |

FMJ, lucky for you my camera was back in the pit... We got our runs in on Sunday before the rain. The short course was hard and dry, we ran John's Tiger in the RWB class. My two passes were 123+/-, John got 125 on his second try. Great fun--didn't set any speed records, but I think I have the uncontested record for the world's ugliest umbrella girl:

hi, can you tell me anything about the M2 in the background ??? |

I believe that's my old 2000 M2 now owned, prepped and ridden by Bob Velloza, judging from the color and the look of the trimmed seat section to clear the extended rearset shifter bar. I heard he ran 141 mph with improper gearing. |

The M2 was actually being ran in memory of the riders son who was killed in Afghanistan. Many racers signed the bikini fairing at the banquet and they said it was going to be put in a memorial in the sons hometown. I think it might have been the sons bike before he died but not sure about that. |

Actually, you are correct except the bike used to be mine, and Bob has built and is running the bike in honor of his son Jake. Bob rides his son's bike now, a really bitchin' built up VIctory. |
