Some recommendations for which Race Stand to purchase. Is there one that stands out from the rest and/or works well with the XB. Pit-bull, Lockhart Phillips, etc? |

The pit bull Mike bought is a little too wide. Had to modify it to make it work. Don't know which one is best though. |

Check with Dave or Craig at Waterloo . They have pitbull stands and could hook you up with the correct one. |

I use Pit Bull front and rear stands. On the rear I have removed the 2 washers that hold the swing arm cradles (Not sure of the real term) to the actual stand which opened up the stand an allowed the XB to sit in there just nicely. My $0.02

I've got Handy Industrie's stand's,$100.00.Had to trim a 1/2 inch off the rubber pads on the rear stands and that took less then five minute's with a small saw.Now they work great. |

Hey Dave, This is Morgan from Gunnison. I got that filter right before I took off for the weekend and got it installed. Thank you so much for the help, it is much appreciated. Morgan |

Do I order it with the Rubber Pads or the Bobbin Support? |

I like the Handy stands, too. I bought the one with the rubber pads, but I generally stick a 1/4" rod through the axle and the bolt holes in the stand where the pads would normally go. Don't know if this will work on the XB's--if they have a hollow rear axle like the tube frame bikes, it should work fine. r-t |

Bobbin support stands are much nicer to work with than the pad stands. But I'm not sure the XB swingarm has attachment points for bobbins. Most other sport bikes do though. I have Pittbull stands and really like them. They also make a reversible top with both rubber pads and bobbin support in one stand (I gave them the idea - really ) Henrik |

I just got the Pitbull rear stand. The stand seems to be a bit too narrow. I tried mounting the pads without the washers, no washers = more clearance, but it's still too narrow. Pitbull is closed right now and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and found a way around it? thanks, Paul in MI (XB9S) |

It turns out Pitbull manufactures two sizes of rear stands. The standard one is too narrow for the XB's, however, they have a wide version that does work. I called up Pitbull and they sent a wide stand out the same day. They also arranged for Fed-Ex to come and pick up my standard width stand at no charge! Great service in my opinion. Paul in MI |
