I found the self-proclaimed only school trained Buell technician on Oahu. Problem is, when I took my bike to be serviced, he filled the oil just past the fill line - cold. On my ride home, my oil leaked all down the tank, onto the trail arm, soaking my rear brake pads.

After a lot of arguing (he made every excuse as to why my tank "leaked" - he sprayed degreaser and brake cleaner, returned the bike and said I was good.

I still have no rear braking. Just wanted to throw an advisory out there - not the only problem I have had with this guy. If you live in Hawaii - spend the money at the local HD Dealership.

Andy_s1w:

Oil Level and OIL CHANGE Class 101, PM me so that "i" can get your e-mail address and a copy is yours ...

You will then understand why HARLEY-DAVIDSON technicians do not know BUELLschitte when changing the oil in a SPORTSTER engine in a TUBE FRAME BUELL ...

The brake pads can be put in QUICK DRY over night(you do not have to buy new pads) and clean rotor with brake cleaner with a clean cloth ...

If you take your bike back to that Dealer they will say you have to buy new brake pads ...

Actually, the Harley dealership is the only place I have found that does know how to work on the S1W out here. The guy who screwed it up owns his own shop - B&C Cycles.

On a side note, recently had to have the clutch neutral sensor removed when it died. They were able to bypass it. When it failed, the bike would die when you let the clutch out, had to have it towed.
