The S2 is experiencing an extreme lean condition. When you pin the throttle, its as if your pulling a boat anchor. The last tank of fuel I ran it got 62 mpg and normal is 50-52 mpg. I checked for an intake leak and didn't find one.I also just swapped the 1 5/8 K&N for the 2" off my Parkway Blue S2T.I can't imagine the swap making that much difference. Anyone have any thoughts? |

Maybe look towards the lean condition being caused by not enough fuel, not by too much air. |

Tom,I know its probably fuel related,I'm just letting you know what I've changed recently. I just don't know where to start with the fuel system. Thanks |

Start with the carb. It might need a rebuild if it has been done in a few years |

The filter turned out to be clean. So as I was pulling the carb I looked down and said to myself "there's your problem".I have a crack in the carb top.No vacuum,no piston rise. They wanted to sell me a chrome "Bar&Shield" top for twice as much as the OEM black piece. A friend in service is bringing one in from home tomorrow. |
