Naaa...Elton is just fine. However, those responsible for selecting him should get flamed as they are most certainly not in touch with their customers. Makes you wonder if the folks at HD are really as intelligent as they would like you to believe or if they just lucked out when the RUB's gave up cocaine and discovered "parking lot jewelry." Plenty of words written to that effect in all the major newspapers over the last few years from the Wall Street Journal to the Los Angeles Times. |

Billy Idiot? oh, my . . .. .well, I gotta agree, he woulda been more appropriate than Elton John (who ain't at all bad, but not at all what that crowd wanted to hear in that venue) . . . Kid ROck? sheeesh . . . . .out of respect for CJ, I'll not say anything about Tim McGraw . . . . sure seems like H-D went 2nd string all around, though . . . recently, when asked if my helmet means I ride a Harley, my reply is, "nossir (or ma'am), I have a motorcycle, not a fashion accessory!" |

Elton John at the Harley Thing. Should have had a couple of Newfie Bands there to get the crowd going. Elton does not seem appropriate for that kind of crowd.

As Newfie and others have said, not the right venue for Elton to be the surprise guest. I heard several different groups at the event saying the same thing. Unfortunately I heard a lot of the derogatory remarks as well. |

When folks are extremely disappointed after having invested a lot of time and money to get here from all over the world on something that they have been hyped on for over a year as the "Party of the Century" they tend to get a little vociferous as well and God only knows what they will say. |

Yeah all BCB members..... I have one ticket for this Sunday's game against the hated Minnesota Vikings up for the first taker. I'm not sure about the seat and section number (I get the tickets tomorrow). In addition, you'd have the privilege of sitting with my dear parents and lovely girlfriend. The ticket is $55. I'll accept payment by check, paypal or cash. I also have one ticket for the Detroit Lion's game the following week. Same bat price, same bat payment. |

Dennis, two tickets might be good, one would put me in the doghouse. On a different subject since this is the local board, does anyone have need for a refrigerator or stove/oven? Both work. Stove is servicable but older, might be good in a garage for forming plastic flyscreens and such and melting wax for castings of home projects. The 'fridge is full sized, freezer above, needs a good cleaning but not nasty looking. Would make a good garage or basement 'fridge, or decent as a main use in a kitchen. These were left in the house by the previous owner and we don't need them. If nobody responds they go to St.Vincent de Paul. Open to offers, as in bring a soda and I'll help you load them up. Located in Port Washington. Okay, back to business as usual. Maybe I'll go stir the pot in Colorado a bit.

She will be right there with us and ratting us off on the BWB! Dyna...Quit teasing Jerry. He got a new roof and some windows this year. Maybe next year he will get lucky! |
