Is there any advantage to paying the extra dollars for the "B" version of the 180/55 rear tire for use on the Uly? I'm assuming these are made especially for heavier sport tourers such as the C-14 Concourse or the ST1300. |

Isn't the B version for a BMW rim? |

Ft_bstrd, Thanx, I didn't really think so. I ordered the standard one. |

The B version is oriented for 2 up riding. I asked a tire dealer about that, and that is what they told me. |

As stated above, the B version has a heavier carcas, for heavy loads/2-up riding. Apparently it comes standard on some Beamers. A buddy of mine investigated the issue last year when he was ordering PR2's for his BMW prior to making an SC to Alaska and return trip. His "standard" PR2 rear tire held up fine for the trip. |

I'm on my second pair of PR2's. My first pair lasted over 11k miles. The prices are lower then last year too! |

I only get 5 to 6 k on mine. Mountains chew up the sides. Best tire for the road. |

I have PR2's on my Lightning and really like them. I stick to Pirelli Scorpion Trails on the Uly - very nice. |

Catalan42, what are you getting for mileage out of the Trails? My front and second rear Sync will be toast in 1,000-1,500 miles. I'm trying to decide which tire to go with. |
