Gootch, Chris and I will be there, bring on the snacks! The house now has a fresh coat of paint and is looking really good, except the windows and doors are still covered with paper! Thanks to my wonderful hubby who took a weeks vacation to get it done! He is the best! Now he deserves a relaxing trip with good friends, and good canadian beer! We are hoping to leave here in the truck tomorrow mid-morning and get to at least Bellingham or maybe all the way to Vancouver BC. Everybody ride safe, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone! Later. Loni PS Shotgun are you still leaving tomorrow morning for the island? Is the new BRAG member heading up with you? |

Loni, et al, am leaving Friday early for a run up the Washington coast to catch the 12:15 ferry to Victoria. Stay in Nanaimo Friday nite and make the hop from there to Horseshoe Bay Sat AM. Not sure yet if Dave will be coming, as he will only know today if it is a go. Gonna be fun. Goin to finish packing now as expect will leave about 5:30 AM to make that ferry. The one at 4:00PM gets into Victoria at rush hour and I hated that last year. |

How can you be in two places at once when you're really nowhere at all? |

Taylor's checking in to let you all know that we made it home just fine. What a great weekend! Thanks to all our great American and Canadian friends for the wonderful time. Now time to go unpack and wash away the canadian bugs. Kim, Mike and Eric thanks for hangin out another night at Whistler. Chris loved the ATV trip, and golfing was a good time, we need to plan next year soon! Loni |

The Border Raid was just way too much fun! I wish I had a bunch of pictures but I don’t, memories will just have to do. Thank you all for entertaining me very well. I can hardly wail until next year. As best as I know, there were no speeding tickets, crashes, or serious break downs. Stu & Brandon may want to comment at this point. Basically, a good time was had by all. Too much fun !! |

Shotgun reporting in. Great Border Raid! 539 miles from Pintincton to home. 11 hr on the road. Bob you were right about Washington's finest, I counted 12 on HWY 97 between the border and Yakima. None anywhere else except for a speedtrap at St. Helen's. I ended up taking Hwy 12 west from Yakima. When I got to Randle, I was hot, thirsty and tired already but knew the Mountain was calling to me. I thought (as I often do) "WWBD, What Would Bob Do"? So I dropped down from Randle thru the Mt. St Helen's area to Cougar, Woodland and home. It was great, cool in the woods. Those twisties took away all my butt pain, I was really cooking. Thanks Bob. Only bad holiday traffic was Cougar to Woodland. 1389 miles round trip. I'm bushed, but "good bushed". Have my second scotch in hand, home cooking smelling mighty fine in the kitchen, life is sweet. Thanks for sharing your weekend with me. |

Mike & I made it home safely and in record time! We got up and road out of Whistler this am about 7:42am and made it to our front door (Portland) by 3pm. We hauled ass to Deely's, loaded up our bikes, Mike drove the first 2 hours and I drove the rest of the way home. This is the first vacation I have had all year (SPLASH aside) so it was really nice to be able to kick it another night in Whistler. We went to the golf driving range which was right next to our hotel and I got to show my skills on the green! Please all you reading this, do not attempt this at home, I am a professional! Say hell no! I almost broke my freakin' wrist. Golf is a full contact sport and it is only you and a club! What is that all about? I am already looking forward to next year! I really enjoyed all my Canadian friends, I especially enjoyed getting to meet Kathy (Shaun's wife) and having lunch with her, Shaun and Loni on Saturday afternoon. See you all sooner than later I hope! Kimberlie |

We had a great time everyone!!! Thanks for coming up and sharing our great Canadian twisties. And thankfully the only serious mishap was the broken axle nut on my Blast, that Don noticed just shy of Kamloops. (Yikes and Gasp!!!!) Yep, poor little Peggy... I quite literally ALMOST rode the wheels offa her! But, thanks to everyone's ingenuity and good ol' Canadian Tire, I was set to roll. Great fix! Anyhow, we made it back to Burnaby around 5 without further trouble. GREAT RIDE, GREAT WEATHER AND NO WILD FIRE TO RUIN IT EITHER! Thanks to Deb for lunch on Friday (AND the reflex tip! Holy Wow). Stu & Kimbo for the great spread of food on Saturday. And Duane & Lisa for their generosity for dinner & drinks in Penticton. Whew, what a great group of friends we're so thankful to have! You guys rock! Well, it's first day of grade 2 for our little Harley girl. Gotta run. Ride on, Lo xoxoxoxo to everyone! |

The Border Raid curse is broken for ever!!!! First sussesfull Border Raid and a whole lot more to come. Ya Baby! We Vancouverites made it home without incident. Great story! We where coming into a small town (Headley) on the way home when oncoming motorists signaled of an upcoming radar trap. No problem, just pull it back and sail on by. With a little help from some clown in a cage! Guess he didn't like the fact that we just passed him, so he thought he would reclaim his rightful spot, and went for the pass and right into the hands of the speed tax collection agents. What a hoot. Hey, next year we should all rent a large house/condo in Whistler and have a group BBQ dinner and party there. I think we could save some cash from reduced bar and restaurant tabs to off set the rent. There is an owner direct accommodations web site AlluraDirect.com that we should be able to source a place. What do you think? P.S. Because I forgot to bring a picture of my incredible daughter Catherine, I have posted it here. Enjoy, I do! Can't wait till the next ride. See ya all soon. Cheers FunJimmy |
