Honestly, what's it take to have a Buell dealership? I'm serious with this question, so, please keep the smart assed answers to a minimum. I know this is a good opening for a joke fest, so only if it's a good one...

Uh.. I think Harley requires something like a Million bucks liquid assets and of course, an open area for insertion of the required franchise. Uh, then I think you have to go to all the training (but if you have the money to start with, then I guess the rest is easy).. The hard part is finding quality people, (assuming you have the money) and getting your stock straight. On the bright side, you would be the first BUELL / harley-davidson dealer in the land (if they allow it and I suspect they wont) for more information you can check the H-D website, they have some information there on getting into the dealer program. Oh, let us know.. depending on where you put it.. I'll be happy to head over and check it out.. maybe even take a job, or something.. hehehehe.. You'll need good security.. and that's what I'm good at! Later, |

I read the FAQ... And as the money wasn't that much of a factor, the whole idea that I would have to let HD think for me is... I am thinking of starting a bike shop though, I just have this things for Buells and wanted to support the effort. I will still support the effort, as it seems the deep south needs me to. Having to be an HD dealer to carry Buell seems to be a way of staying on the safe side of keeping costs down by not having to close a store if it doesn't make it, as it looks as though HD does a lot of research before even thinking of opening a store. I'll have to think of a name for my shop, as I don't think people will bring anything to "Glitch's" At least my last name is assosiated with speed... |

Well, i don't think that "Glitch's Buell/HD" would be a problem, if you have good focus on troubleshooting and repair i.e. "Got a glitch? Bring it to Glitch's" good advertising can overcome (and capitalize) any name |
