Fellow WCClubers! It's that time again. Thursday 7PM, IL H/D in the main dealer showroom. Stop by for the latest ride results, Speedy's race report, Sam's Dealer's corner, and MotoGP developments for those going to Indy's second biggest bash. Was a great time last year, and this promises to be bigger and better! See ya there! Keith K |

Fellow Clubbers, You may not care to judge, but this would be a great place to see "skills" on a motorcycle that few get to observe. I will be working an assigned MSF course and cannot attend, but if you print this out from an MSF instructor, tell them you care to observe, or may "assist" in the scoring, it looks like they can use the help. All the best, ride well, Keith K ----- Forwarded Message ----- From: "Steve Kirsch" <steven@chezkirsch.com> To: MRC-L@LISTSERV.ILLINOIS.EDU Sent: Tuesday, August 3, 2010 8:41:37 AM Subject: Judges needed! Instructors: I sent this eMail out to the list a few weeks ago. We got some response but were hoping for more participants! Please if you can make time this Saturday it would be a huge help to volunteer as a judge for the course. The proceeds are going to a great cause and it is total blast to watch the skilled riders compete on the course! You would not believe what some of the guys can do with a motorcycle! Thanks for your consideration and support! To all U of I Instructors: A good friend of mine Bill O'Connell who owns Midwest Police Motorcycle Training of Illinois has organized a first-of-a-kind motorcycle skills competition and safety seminar that will be located in the Chicago-land area. This event brings both Civilians and Police Motor Officers together within the same event. The event focuses on motorcycle safety as well as enhancing motor-vehicle operations. All donations from this event benefit the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation which supports and assists families of Chicago Police Officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty. In this event, they foster motorcycle safety education and also bring the police and civilian communities closer together. One of their specific goals of the event is to provide examples of how to learn to make the motorcycle itself work to its maximum potential through demo's and the competition itself. See their website www.MidwestMotorSkills.com for detailed information. I have participated in Midwest Police Motorcycle Training, and I thoroughly enjoyed the process as well I learned a lot of new motorcycle skills! Bill needs judges for the competition and asked if I could post a note to our list serve asking for help. As well if you are interested he would welcome any of you to compete in the competition or just come by and watch the motor's run the course. It is in Joliet and is on Aug. 6 & 7. He only needs judges for the 7th - competition day. Thanks for reading, if you are interested please send an eMail directly to Bill. He needs about 40 judges for the competition on Aug. 7th. eMail address for Bill is - bill@midwestofillinois.com Regards

Hey Tim and everyone else, we have had different seats the past two years. Both of them very good, but each of those years we had ordered them well in advance. Because we are just a few weeks out, I would hesitate to say we would get as good as we have had. Once we have a total of those interested I will find the best we can get. Hope to have something by Fri. afternooon. |

Curt & Tim, I thought RockerBox was last Saturday. I misread the website. I may be inclined to ride up if others are going. See every body tonight. Tim II |

Tim1 and Tim2, I am still trying to weasel my way out of a Saturday commitment to attend RockerBox. If I pull it off, I plan to join up with the Northern Illinois group and rendezvous with the Chicago group in Ringwood, IL at 11:00am according to the club event flyer. I will be riding either the '88 bagger or '83 CB1100F (not sure yet). I'll look for you all in Ringwood if I am able to join. Ride safe. |

Ok guys. I was out last night riding with a group of friends when all of a sudden my belt decided to munch the ribbing. Sad for me. Good thing is it's under warranty still. Only bad thing is I am in the process of moving from KC to Merrillville, IN. So I need a dealership up in Chicago that still works on Buells. Somewhere close if that is possible. And I'll be out at the next group meeting as long as its on the weekends! John |

I'd say Illinois HD would be my first choice. They also have some parts in stock. Munster Indiana there is Calumet HD. |

Rooms are booked, contact Marc Hickman, he may need a roommate at the Crowne Plaza West. We have purchased tickets for the GP in Sec. 37 and have reserved seats for the mile as well. Good to hear you can make it. If the weather is good it will be big fun. Marc H. and I will leave the SW Burbs about 8:30a and meet Tim II in Morrocco IN about 10a. Anybody else want to go? |

Ratfink, Calumet HD is a very good shop and is a few miles from Merrillville. Ask for Ron at service. He is a Buell rider. Otherwise IL HD is a great shop but quite a ways from IN. |

Tim Just so everybody is clear. There is no scenic route from northwest IN to Indianapolis. There are only straight or slightly less straight roads (arduous or less arduous). Tim II |

Before I moved to Munster, I lived in Champaign IL. We considered that town to be in the middle of the "Corn Desert". In Munster, I just live on the outskirts. Tim II |
