Ok, so heres the problem. The bike wont start up correctly. When I click into ignition, the "humming" for the fuel pressurization does not sound right at all, its like, it has no power? Then it will start up, sometimes it takes a dry attempt to get it to turn over. Once it starts the bike wont idle, it'll idle as low as like 400rpm and then die. If I rev it up for a few minutes it will idle around 1krpm and then drop to 400, and then die. I added fuel treatment and injector cleaner attempting to at least start the diagnostic process. It seems like after adding both the bike wants to idle closer to 1k more and for longer. Before it would only idle for like 2 seconds and then die, now it'll go for as long as 10 seconds before dying. I took it on the road to attempt to try to see if I could work the cleaner through, and it has no consistency to its power at all. I'll throttle and it'll rev up to like 4k, then act like it has no fuel and drop back to 1k and then shoot back to 4k. Its rough. Now, I checked the oil, which is still fresh and clean, the bike has a brand new full tank of gas in it, and it just hit 3400 miles. I read somewhere about it possibly being a fouled plug, so I'm about to order new spark plugs for it, but I am wondering if there are opinions on this. Oh, and it smells like its just cooking too much fuel. And it back fires and hiccups. |
