I'm a newby, just bought a firebolt, and am trying to clean and shine it. Can I use regular car wax on the body and buff it in? I ask cause I know its not paint it molded in and I dont want to ruin or fade the color |

After a good wash, I used a cleaner wax by maguiars on advice from a dealer. worked pretty good with hand buff using 100% cotton terrycloth. Then i topped it with this stuff called 'plexus' which is a spray polish made for all types of plastics, originally developed for aircraft. supposed to 'seal the pores' of the plastic, but i dont know about that. I'm sure people will have other suggestions, but so far this has worked fine for me and gives a nice shine while taking care of smaller scratches. But who knows, your results may vary! |
