Well I was trying to strech it and make my back tire last the rest of the summer (works slow and money is tight) well I had a huge flat spot in the middle and last night getting ready to go to bike night there is actually cords starting to come through in about a small 1 inch section.. bottom line def isn't safe to ride and I might be broke but not dumb. So Friday I need to order new tires. Esp a rear. I hear the pilot road 2ct are good also I think the bridgestone b16?? I don't want something crazy expensive but want a good tire and if I have to spend a little more then so be it. I know there are a lot of tire threads but currently my home computer is broke and I only have my droid to go online, and its not very easy or fast to search the forums. please let me know what direction to head with the tire purchase. Thanks chris

I can recommend the Dunlop Q2 from personal experience in the mountains, and they got great reviews from Roadracing World Magazine and others. Dual compound, neutral-steering and super sticky on the sides, seems to last OK on the center harder compound but I never get more than 3K miles out of any tire.

$209.95 shipped from here: http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no =7780

michelin power pure's are good on my cr. i have pr2's on my xb, and the pures feel similar but more grip, though shorter life i guess. then again the cr is more powerful.

I wasn't disappointed with the OEM tires, but went with the Michelin PP 2CT's set when the rear needed replacement. Great tires!!

I'll probably only ride on Pirelli Rosso Corsas which replaced the Corsa IIIs. I beat the hell out of them at the track and they always have good wear and NEVER have slipped.

Well over 7k miles on the slab with BT-016's. I run them, a buddy of mine has the same and he's gotta ride about 80-85 miles a day. He was getting about 5k out of the 2CT's. Last time I bought a set was about $300 for 2 rears and a front.

Chris, I went with a Pirelli Rosso to stay somewhere very near the handling of the stock Pirelli Corsa III's and now have the Rosso's on front and back. Rear was just $132.00 with $10.00 shipping from "www.sporttour.com/tires/pirelli-diablo-rosso.htm" right there by you in Ohio. Seems like a good place to do business and the tires are great, good grip, fast warm up and wear fine. Very similar to the stockers with some more wear. And if you need a front just $107.00. Bob

There was a page on here with a link for the new pirellis and they were cheep at the time so look back and find it. I'd look for it but I'm on a cell doing this.

JakeWilson.com is the place to get tires. Look for coupon codes on google.

drawkward have you considered the Diablo Super Corsa? I haver one on the rear and it is insanely sticky and wears well.I'v had the corsa III, Dunlop q2 sportmax, dragon supercorsa pro and now the diablo supercorsa . The diablo Supercorsa is the grippiest tire I've had on yet and its wearing very well. I cant really say how it is on the street since most of my time is at the track.
2 cents.

I've been thinking about it honestly. I get three trackdays out of a Rosso Corsa and have been thinking if I can get three TDs out of the Supercorsa...why not?

What do you think? Three TDs?

honestly, mine is a take off so I'll have to wait til it wears out then I'll try a new one. I only did a half day on it(work half, ride half for club)and man I felt the difference coming from the dragon sc which felt better than the sportmax q2. (q2 slipped out once on a fast sweeper...got my attention!). The tire(diablo supercorsa) didnt look any different other than a lil blue-ing from a half day.
I would guess you could get 3 days out of em.
Un friggin fortunately I think I hear my stator nut a knockin so its off to dealer tomorrow. I aint mad. just hope to have it back for the next track day.

Chris, also check out sport bike track gear dot com. I ordered my Michelin power pures from them. I love the tires, they're just outside of Detroit so you'll get them in a day and not have to pay sales tax.

Chris, I recently got a set of Pilot Power 2 CT's from Jakewilson.com for $199. The discount code I used was JW009. I only have a few hundred miles on the tires but so far I really like them.

one thing I forgot to mention- when I got my Diablo Supercorsa take off I was told to make sure the tire was good and warmed up before going all out. Once it is hot, no sweat but he was saying they are pretty greasy before they reach temperature. Just wanted to pass that along.

My Corsa III was and is a bit slippy cold as well and downright dangerous below 50 degrees. I am gonna go with the Angels on the next go round
