Do I need a spring compressor to do this, or can I just pop the cap and dump/refill the oil?   Stirz007 Posted on Saturday, August 14, 2010 - 09:33 pm:        You can do it w/o compressor - if you are only changing oil. Forks off the bike. Follow service manual procedure if you got one - Strap wrench works well if you don't have a soft-jaw vise.
