When I left work tonight I found that my clutch had a ton of free play. When I got home I checked the fluid and found just a slight amount in the bottom of the reservoir. I had the clutch weep problem 3000 miles ago and had it fixed. I looked everywhere and found no leaks. I added fluid and pumped the clutch a few times and everything seems fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

There have been cases after the fix where a leak develops behind the slipper clutch diaphragm so you see no leak externally, local dealer had one like this not long ago. Need to take it to the dealer.

Stimbrell, this failure has been seen in the UK too. Reference to it on UKBEG.

Thanks guys. I took the bike to my local dealer (New Castle HD in Pa.) Tuesday night. The service Mgr told me he was currently scheduling for August 23 but to leave the bike and he would see what he could do. I got a call today saying the O ring that was replaced in the original clutch weep problem had failed. The dealer had the part sent ovenight and the bike will be ready tomorrow morning.

I'm pretty sure something similar happened to me too. Last week my I couldn't pull my clutch lever far enough and I was stalling like a noob. I didn't have a lot of fluid and what I did have was grey (oil?) Just a few drops were found behind the puck though.
So now it has been stuck at the dealer for a few days now waiting to get diagnosed so it can wait for parts.
