I know about that design as it is one side of a Challenge Coin that FSkinner had made (at least I think it is). I do not know all the details about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Challenge_coin |

What do you think? I think you guys sure can ruin a surprise. The tradition of a challenge is the most common way to ensure that S2 Riders are carrying their coin. The challenge only applies to those that have a coin. The challenge, which can be made at any time, begins with the challenger drawing his/her coin, and slapping or placing the coin on the table or bar. In noisy environs, continuously rapping the challenge coin on a surface may initiate the challenge. (Accidentally dropping a challenge coin is considered to be a deliberate challenge to all present.) Everyone being challenged must immediately produce the coin and anyone failing to do so must buy a round of drinks for the challenger and everyone else who has their challenge coin. However, should everyone challenged be able to produce their coin, the challenger must buy a round of drinks for the group. FRONT AND BACK
Here is how you get one. You must donate a piece of a S2 (something you cannot use or want or something damaged beyond repair, i.e JUNK) to Spiderman (or Buell swag). PM him and ask for his address. Once you do that send me a SASE (that can hold a coin) and I will get one to you. You gotta earn it!!!!! Frank (Message edited by f_skinner on August 03, 2010) |

I have a bunch of crap (and some good stuff too!) that I'll be sending Spidy for the next S2 Gathering. Denny says I have to go with him next year, so I guess I might as well... |

If Denny says "go", I'd advise you to go... I know I've got some junk S2 stuff--a set of engine cases comes to mind. rt |

Thanks guys.... I did not know how well this would go over but thought it was a neat thing to do. I sent and gave three to people to gauge reaction and it has been positive. Us old military guys always carry a Challenge Coin anyway. I usually carry a unit or VFW coin with me. I know Bart carries a USMC one. I have even seen coins for sudo-military organizations like the Boy Scouts and Navy. |

HAHA "At least us squids can spell "pseudo"... " Thanks College Boy... I do not need to spell correctly since I cant read too good no how.. I am glad it is a hit Tom... I do not spend my time thinking of S2 swag (as it must seem like), this one kind of came up while I was debating on buying a Honda. I guess the Buell Gods knew I was thinking about being unfaithful... |

Actually Tom this has been a great pick-me-up. Time for s story: A good friend of mine (former F18 Pilot USN) rides a Duc... It is a beautiful bike but it spends more time in the shop than on the road. When he took my S2 for a spin he started really considering a Buell. Of course when BMC closed down he did not give it much thought until he found out about the fire sale prices. We were out of bikes in Colorado quick and he was looking at other dealers out of state. I buried him last week. That is why I have not been on the badweb much. I lost many friends this year to war, cancer and accidents. It has been hard on me and on Lynn. I appreciated the emails from Roger, Jeff and Loren. They do help and it is nice to know it was noticed that I was MIA. Lynn and I have been spending a large amount of off duty time in the Colorado Mountains and I cannot think of a better place to relax, reflect and to heal. RIP Brad... |

Sorry to hear about your friend, Frank. We just buried one of our Houston Buellers yesterday, too. If I could go ride in Colorado about now, I believe that's what I'd be doing. tom |

Tom, I had to go find that thread. That is truly sad. I feel for the family he left behind. I went through his old post as well. Just very sad. Brad, thanks and I will. |

Frank, Even though we don't know each other very well, I sensed something was awry. Julie and I are both so sorry to hear about your friends, and understand very well how therapeutic these mountains can be. |

Jeff and Julie, I think we know each other pretty well. In fact I have talked on the phone with you more than any otehr S2 rider (save Court and Roger I think). Thanks for the well wishes. I have been busy repairing stuff I messed up on the camper LOL... Lynn wanted to go for a ride so I mounted a camera on the S2T. It takes video as well but apparently it is harder to do when riding than I thought...LOL Leaving Fountain
TRAIN... and gravel road
I ran into my good friend Chris and his wife Lynn in Penrose CO.
Ran into some Harley guys on 50... They moved over and let us by eventually.

Twintour, I hope to be at the WV rally! I haven't signed in yet, as I'm swamped at work at the moment. But, I'm busting butt trying to get everything off the calendar by then! I'll likely be bringing the S2. I was going to give Ratbuell (joe) a hard time about bringing the Uly instead of the S2 but hadn't. If we all brought our S2's we could have our own little S2 rally... |

I know how you feel Frank. I have lost 2 close friends and a cousin this year. Sunday I am riding up to Mt. Rainer to scatter one of the friends ashes. Planning to leave early and be there for the sunrise. Riding really is the best therapy. Shane |

Who do I need to send parts to? I have a broken piece of front fairing from hitting a deer a few years back I'd be willing to part with. I've GOT to have one of these! |
