Harleys are good bikes. Hope they stay in Milwaukee. Like it or not, if you are riding a buell you're riding a Harley. When you need to get parts, you go to Harley to get them. |

I am done with HD, when the Buell is past it's useful life I will be buying something else, surely not a HD product. |

Hardley-Davidson's a little late Jumping into the Race to the Bottom! But with the Decisions made in Recent history, not the Least Bit surprised if they Move to China with all the Rest of Our industrial manufacturing base. That WiLL kill the Company's Customer Base Off, but Short run is All C.P.A. think Looks at Obviously. Wall st LOVES & Uses it, to the detriment of All but Multi-Nationals. All you Wal-Mart Shopping "patriots" will bitch, but Ya'll AlReady Voted with your Wallets Long ago. Is Ayn Rands Mission to Sabotage "Capitalism" Completed? Pure sociopathic Appeal to the Worst of the "ethos", Many Here Appear to Have Drunk That Poisoned KoolAid, from What I've read in the archives. Taste Good? Appears So, Not Anything but the SqueAL Left. P.T. Barnum was Correct. b. |

Detroit will take 'em with open arms!!! The labor rate may not be any better, but the unemployed may sacrifice a little cash for a job. |

Two thoughts here: 1) F*** Keith Wandell. 2) This is another example of unions pricing themselves right out of a job. |

P.T. Barnum: "Money is in some respects life's fire: it is a very excellent servant, but a terrible master." "Whatever you do, do it with all your might. Work at it, early and late, in season and out of season, not leaving a stone unturned, and never deferring for a single hour that which can be done just as well now." "Every crowd has a silver lining." Barnum was credited with the famous quote "There's a sucker born every minute." History, unfortunately, has misdirected this quotation. Barnum never did say it. Actually, it was said by his competitor, David Hannum. My personal paraphrased favorites: "Men who drive sharp bargains with their Buell customers, acting as if they never expected to see them again, will not be mistaken. They will never see them again as customers. People don't like to pay and get kicked also." "Always try to grab that OTHER trapeze the first time because gravity is a helluva mistress to screw over and get screwed over by" |

Terrible news. Working people are getting a big dose of supply and demand. Safety nets are gone. HD is prowling around different areas looking into facilities to move to. Its all been kept real quiet but it has been going on. This is probably not an idle threat. Same work done for a lot less money and less taxes = moving time! Guys on top makes big money. WIS loses big time and some poor sap in the South is thrilled to finally have a half ass job. I think I'm going back to Victory - OOOO wait a minute - They're going to MEX! Workin man BLUES! |

Workin Man's Black&Blue All over these days. A shame, truly. One grandfather owned a 1917 Indian, the other a JD Harley, Dad had a 45 after the war, kind of surprising to see a company Selling "tradition", abandon it's Home, Likely it's Country. Just serving the next quarter NOT what they had built on. Anybody still making Apple Pie? Tie Mom Down! The P.T. "Quotes" I had in Mind, as Jake showed, not likely his, but, Most of the "facts" crammed into me in the dark ages have been discarded too. "Sucker born a minute, can... fool... One most appro these day's is J. Thurber's "You can Fool Too Many of the People, Too Much of the Time", or, Just Bully them till they give up. We have turned into a Bully Nation, Willingly. Turned National Policy over to Wall st and the MIC, Corporate rule, Money Rulez, Not the "Citizens". Way off track, in my ancestors beliefs, and the ones I was raised to believe. My bad. b. |

Ask Alan Greenspan. That Bus is Driving Right off the Cliff! Ayn Rand is Fun reading as a Young Man, Capitalism with NO limit or Balance... Or Compassion. Law of the Jungle, is what it comes down to. Fantasy. Does Not make for a healthy society, evidence as Plain as what is going on Now. How is it Working for You & Yours? Race to the Bottom IS being "won". Like the "prize"? b. |

Dis-Information is Ruling the Day, He who Owns the Media can Fool Most of the People, Most of the Time. "if the world ran on "common sense", all problems Are solvable. It Does NOT, Those who Literrally "Make a Killing" off things being Screwed up, want a return to feudalism. Like being a Peon? a Serf? What Our country Was Supposed to Be about, Government "by the People", Was the Only Hope of avoiding that. Discounted, sabotaged, Sold OUT$$$ Put people in charge who want to Destroy it, this is what you get. Economic Feudalism, Not much room in that Shining City on a Hill. We HAVE been "Trickled Down" Upon. b. |
