Frankly, I think Bettie is still suffering emotional damage from last years Border Raid. I think she's going to stay "sick" until after Sept. 2nd, then the new parts and tools will arrive and everything will go together just fine. She'll continue to run dependably for as long as you keep her in the country and out of the mountains. Everything should be OK until next Labor Day weekend when she might develope a sniffle or cough. I'm not saying she is malingering but it seems like she's staying in bed longer than she really should. |

Kimberlie. Will you be wearing those 2" lifts for Border Raid? And is the big meanie coming too? (I'd never make my wife pay for my motorcycle parts.)(Knowingly.) edited by Sportyeric on August 24, 2003 |

Well I'm glad a few camp fires won't scare you guys away. But whatever we do, it'll be a blast that's for sure. Galen, there's nothing wrong with Helga and perhaps you could keep me company with my one lunged apprentice, Peggy. We'll just stay away from MotorHomes, Guardrail-less edges and angry old women!

FWIW:(That would be nothing, I expect)I cancelled my reservations for Sunday night in Osoyoos (too close to the camp fires for me) and made a reservation for a second nights stay in Whistler at the Blackcomb Lodge. I think that two evenings of drinking warm milk and eating vanilla wafers with old friends sounds like twice as much fun as only one night. I am SOOoooo ready! You might want to call 1-800-HELLO BC (435-5622) and see if there would be any space available in Whistler on Sunday night Aug 31st. edited by ray_maines on August 24, 2003 |

Sporty Eric- You crack me up, didn't you know after 13 yrs of marriage what is his is mine and what is mine is mine? So really looking at it like that I put out a little bit of green to get my other bike fixed! (besides we only have one bank account so I guess it was both our money? Right Honey? Even though I used my bonus check, but hey it is just green stuff anyway.) Yes "the big meanie" is coming too! I prefer to call him a few other things..... the nicer ones are "Dead Sexy", "Sugar Bear", "Lovey" and well a few others that aren't worth mentioning! Won't have those 2 inch boots for Border Raid, although I was talking to a guy at the track this weekend who imports boots for a living and was telling me about some womans riding boots he was getting ready to sell that had quite a lift to them. So I will check those out once he gets them. Bob - You rock - that is pretty much all I have to say, because remember "what happens at the track stays at the track!" You are the best Uncle Bob the little guy will ever have, we absolutely love you to pieces. Once again you win the "I drove the longest to support you" award! Thank you for bringing your trailer and sharing your space with our family. Debi- thanks for stocking it for the weekend, sorry you couldn't make it down. Chris & Loni- You guys are amazing, coming out and spending the weekend camping out at the track and supporting Cody. Loni- thank you for cooking, helping with the kids and all the popsicles. Chris- thanks for helping with the track and grilling up those weenies! Awful nice of Loni to provide the condiments! See you guys in a week. Kimberlie |

Now I'm asking you, is it any darn wonder I just love my Metzeler tyres? I mean, really!

Kim, We enjoyed this week end so much. It was something we have always talked about doing but never really had the reason to do it. Doing the food has always been something I enjoy! Although Bobs bagles were'nt bad Sunday morning! And his wennies (thanks Deb) were good Sat night. Watching Code Red race was great. So for Whistler I think that we should all just spend another night in Whistler. For those of you who want to take a short ride someplace Sunday great, and for those who just want to explore and see more of the town great! We are planning to stay there the 2 nights. Anyone else? |

PS I say also that we ride the gondola up to the top of the Mountain for dinner this year! It was fun last year, and the food was good! |

Loni, you loved Bob's Weenie? Chris, you are a very understanding man. See y'all this weekend. Gootch, whatever ride we come up with will be better than working. Looks like they are getting the fires under more control. Praise be heaped on the firefighters and military working them. Hope you got some good Buell T-shirts in stock.

Loni, That's sounds good for dinner. I remember Kimberlie and Mike enjoying the gondola and awesome BBQ at the top. I'm into that! Besides... Deb and I have that little PACT remember? (Who's praying it get's dark sooner?) I think by tomorrow (Wednesday) we'll be cancelling our Penticton hotel and try to book in Whistler. Too bad things didn't work out properly but I've a feeling it won't make a bloody bit of difference in the FunFactor! Ride on, Lo |

Hey, Speaking of Metzeler T(y)ires: My bike came stock with hard rubber tires that were OK on dry pavement but horrible on wet streets so I changed to a set of tires with a softer rubber compound and it hasn’t rained sense. God help us all when it does rain though, as the water will lift a summers worth of oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, break fluid, and all sorts of other nasty & slick road grime to the surface and there won’t be any traction to be had. If for no other reason than that, we be prayin’ it don’t rain this weekend. It’s going to be slick whenever it rains, so be careful. |

Hi everyone, for those attending Border Raid, I'll have snacks at Deeley's House of Buell. I hope to travel up with everyone around 1:00pm, first I need to see how busy the store is. Who needs a test ride on the XB12S? Looks like most of the fires are under control, just might be a bit smokey up there. |
