Bartimus, Yeah, its me. I couldn't recall my old username/password combo so I re-registered. New rubber, fork seals and brakes and off I go. How have you been? If you get down Tucson way I work Wed and weekends so I can ride during the week. Mt. Lemmon maybe? Artful |

Hey folks I have been on this board forever. I am on my 3rd buell. 1125r. The question I have, does anybody have ecmspy and know how to turn off the o2 sensors? I put a pc v on with autotune and after I ride on Carefree why for about 28 miles steDy throttle. I trip an o2 code. Dyno jet told me to wire in a reistor. I rather turn them off. Tell me what you charge. Thank you. Ed |

Rex, You don't have the high bars on your CR? We should get together for a short ride someday, I would like to see what they feel like, I have the high bars on mine... Art, figured that was you by the name, LOL. Still riding the S3? Mrbuell, I have ECMspy, but am not sure what you can do with it on an 1125R. I know I can look at a few things with it on my 1125CR, but have not tried to change anything. no charge to plug it in your bike, but I work nights so it would have to be during the day sometime... |

Bart, Yep still on the S3. No big problems with it, runs very strong since the engine work. Needs some paint work though. I have an extra set of bodywork waiting the money for paint. E-mail me and keep in touch, maybe I can yet get to Phoenix someday... 1eyert@q.com |

Nick, I will try to come out tomorrow morning... Are you in the service department? Art, I'm off the 24th, wanna try to meet up in Superior? That would be better than just coming up the interstate, at least you could enjoy some curves... |

http://maps.google.com/maps/mm?clien...135.263672& z=4 Alan Smith has put together a destination ride that he is looking to do. It will be discussed at our September meeting, September 6th. Don't miss this meeting. Again, this is a destination ride that is being presented to the group. Alan is looking at it being September 16th thru September 19th. you can decide to go the entire time, or just meet the group at designated destination along the route. You can call the ride, beat the snow over the passes, or Ride the Sierra Mountain passes, an alternative to our death valley ride, or look out, we are the Donner party. Alan has some great ideas, some great stops along the way, historic locations, great hotels, etc. REX -- American Sport Bike Night. ASBN. I've been out of motorcycles for too many years and I need some opinions on tires. '96 S1 - It's my daily driver to/from work (about 15 miles on the 101). My canyon carving days are well behind me, but I would like a set of tires that are on the sporty side. All opinions are welcome. Thanks, Tom |

I really like the Pirelli Diablo's they have been a good tire for me on many of my Buells. If you want good traction and long wear life, I would go with Pirelli Diablo Strada's. I used them on my XB12XT and got about 7000 miles out of the back tire, I also have those mounted on Debbie's XB9SL. I have Scorpion syncs on my S2 and Pilot Powers2 on my XB12SS, and corsa's on my 1125CR I've also got the strada's on my Honda 1300. i'm very happy with the mileage and stickiness of them. I'm not sure where you get your tires from, I usually get mine online, and I comparison shop big time. After i find the best deal, I take it to Mototire on Cave Creek rd. This guy does great work, charges $25 a tire for mounting and balancing and will match whatever price you find online. Just my opinion... |

Thank you. Mototire is 3.5 mles from my house. I'll start hunting for the Pirelli's. |

We're leaving for Arizona tomorrow, finally! Looking forward to getting out of this rain... Calgary has been under thunderstorm watches or warnings for a couple of weeks and we've had some real gulley washers interspersed with buckets of hail of varying sizes. It's a 1600 mile trip and we are not going to push to hard. Thinking of doing it in 4 days or so, with lots of side trips. We will be staying at a friend's place in Queens Creek and storing the bike there until we can get possession of our little condo in Snottsdale (thanks, Bartimus!) Don't know if we'll get a chance to meet any of you this trip, but hope to when we get a chance to stay for a bit. I haven't done much 2 up riding for a long time but this should be fun and both Joanie and myself are anticipating an enjoyable (but somewhat warm) time. |

Your going to miss that rain after about a week here! LOL I hope your ready to get scorched every day for the next two and a half months. But seriously, you will have plenty of time to meet folks, there's a group that get's together on the east side once a month. I go out riding every week, anything to get out of this sweltering city. The mountains are gorgeous, and the curves are tasty. I've got a big ride planned for the end of September up in the mountains. 3 days of cool mountain air surrounded by the best of Arizona's curvy roads. If you need help with your move, post up, Debbie and I both have trucks, my friend Kelly has a truck, wayne has a truck. I'm sure there are plenty of able bodies with weak minds (besides me) that can help with the physical stuff. Welcome to Hell! |
