Tonight , I noticed that my brake light is not working....Front OR rear. No idea how long it hasn't worked.

Pulled the front switch, checked for continuity, nothing. Cleaned it with contact cleaner, get a little chirp out of my meter randomly.

I unplugged the rear switch from it's harness connector, No continuity at all.

I jumpered the connector pins in both the rear and front , brake light came on both times...

So does it sound like I am correct in thinking that the switches are bad?

If So....

I found the front switch at American Sport Bike, but can't seem to locate a rear switch. Who carries the rear switch?

Thanks in advance.

Here is the spec:Threaded Diameter = 10.0mm; Thread Pitch = 1.0mm

Can anybody verify if this will work?

Any time - let us know how it goes as I've not had to replace that.
The switch actually holds the rear brake line in place so the manual has instructions to drain the brake fluid first and to replace the copper washers that seal the rear brake line - H0412.01A0 x 2. You'd probably get away with annealing them if you are stuck.

The 10mm banjo washers are very common and are available at any auto parts store.
