Blackbelt, Jprovo from CA is in Iowa at Daves having his bike worked on I forget where that was posted. Newfie had his rear isolator go bad on him around Toronto and he's in I believe Buffalo and oz666 is helping get him back on the road, posted on the Rant thread. And as of yesterday Char and Bear were leaving Lexington and headed to NC and everything was going good for them. This is a good thread though to make sure everyone who attended make it back safely !! CJM |

BTW Doug is the dealer pricapal <sp> of Iowa. Which by far is the coolest that he made it out for this event. Plus he kicked some ass at Battle Trax! |

Spidey...Doug was just warming up on Friday at Uke's BattleTrax. You should have seen him run at Hal's on Saturday. The course was really tight and he had it dialed in all the way! Must help to have Dave as a BattleMaster and store the equipment for Reg. |

A big thank you to everyone who helped me become an "instant expert" on rear isolators. Everything went as well as and maybe even better than I expected doing Newfie's bike. He had done them once before, so I was relegated to tool-rangler/photographer/ballast. I was glad I could help him make a safe trip home AND not let him install the obsolete isolators he purchased in T.O. I'll let him tell the story - I'll post the pics... Oz |

A James P update! James is still in Iowa - it seems a valve guide (I always recomended changing those and the springs when cam upgrading;0))grenaded - trashing the head - parts to be in today - tommorrow he should be on the road again! In the mean time he is staying with some really nice fellow Buellers (I'm lousy with names and instantly forgot theirs - sorry) and riding the heck out of a dealer loaner S-3 - yeah - he's roughing it! He said he thought about Nallinizing it then but wanted to save that build fun for himself - the extended warrentee is covering everything - so he is making the best of it! I went to College in that area and sugested a few intresting places - but I'm sure from the conversation I had that he's having fun! Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |

Hey...Jprovo should be lacking in the corn department. They grow feed corn for cash and eatin' corn in their gardens for personal consumption. Then again, I believe the feed corn also is converted into your favorite breakfast cereal somewhere in Michigan, probably by some of Spidey's relatives. LOL That was a discovery I made when I moved to Iowa for a few years way back when the earth first cooled. Thought I was going to have an endless supply of free corn on the cob. Oh well... |

Newfie Update - He's in Amhurst tonight, if all goes well he should catch the boat back to the island tomorrow evening !! He was however, almost arrested in Quebec for going 147km (92mph) in a 100km (62mph), cop pulled him over ! He must have smiled real pretty though cause the cop didn't give him a ticket ! He did complain about his pipe though, claimed it was illegal ! He says his front disc brake roter drive pins are loose though, so he's going to purchase a Red S4T Ducati !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CJM

Newfie - DON'T DO IT!!! I don't have any Italian tools. I can purchase and ship to you the 2001 rotor and hardware for <$200can, thats GOT to be less expensive than a Red S4T Ducati!!!!!!!!! (Which, by the way, just SCREAMS - MIDLIFE CRISIS, with small penis. Come to think of it, a Green S3T Buell costs less too and it's much more... ah.... Buell !!! Oz |

Hello! Here is an itinerary for the ride I am doing tomorrow... but the destination will be flexible depending on how it goes. Leave Durham, North Carolina at 7:00 am EST. I-40 West to Winston- Salem. 52 North through Mt. Alry. I-77 North to Charleston, West Virginia. 64 North (West?) to 35 North (West?) to 32 West (North?)to Cincinnati, OH. Take the 275 bypass to Hwy 74 (West/ North) Indianapolis, IN South 465 bypass to 65 North. 65 North towards Gary, IN (GARY INDIANA SUCKS!!!) I-90 West to Chicago. Stay in South Chicago. Sunday should be a short ride to meet up with Bob near Uke's or another destination. Then Sunday evening we will be taking Doc's 'rig' back to Doc's shop in Bonduel, WI and riding our bikes to Bob's house in Shawano. Monday I have to go home I suppose... and Tuesday I will be back at work at 100 pm. I will try to post from Bob's in Shawano, WI on Sunday night when we get there... but I will give you, Chris, a call when I make it to the Milwaukee area... not sure what your plans are Sunday, but ours will be flexible since Bob is not drag racing this weekend and maybe we all can hook up at some point??? Cheers! |

Hey Blackbelt, Was your 'Trapp the older version that is flat where the pipe enters it or the newer one that has the conical support welded between the pipe and muffler can (see the Buell Pro Series). If it is the older style, SuperTrapp are aware of the problem and might do a good will replacement with the newer version (they did for me and a friend of mine). I'm now running the newer version and have had no trouble whatsoever in 7-8 thousand miles. If you go D&D, try to afford the full header system. It looks great, makes great power and seems nearly indestructible! Good Luck, Jay |

I AM HOME (But would really love to still be on the road somewhere in Milwaukee in the USA) I missed out on the Ducati S4T and the Billett Metallic S3 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia by about 3 days. but on the other side I don't have to ship the S1 home from Dartmouth and I am in $10,000.00 Canadian which is what they went for. So thank you all that delayed my arrival in Nova Scotia. I really need a sport touring machine, so if anyone has any ideas please let me know. Already starting to thing about coming back next year for a week or so, now that I know what I am up against. Thanks guys and I will post my adventure over the next few days when I get the pictures back. A GREAT BIG MONGO THANKS TO OZ FOR GETTING ME OUT OF A POTENTIALLY REAL BIG PROBLEM This board has got to have some of the best friends a guy could ask for. |

Newfie; You're right about the people on this board - everybody I met in Wisconsin was first rate. Your trip now is in the Adventure category. You had enough adversity to make it memorable. Post details when you regain some feeling in your butt. You've earned my respect. Anyone who can ride an S1 that far deserves a lot of respect. They should also see a good Shrink. I'm glad you made it home O.K. It was a pleasure meeting you. Now we can start thinking about Buellers invading Newfoundland next Summer. |
