You just need to set the suspension a little stiffer, you're compressing it too much. Boots are fine....

You should have your toes on the pegs, not hanging off the front

Do you wear them on the opposite foot?
How do you rub the inside of the boot? Get up on your toes man.

I quit riding with laces.Tried to put my foot down at a red light years ago and a lace got caught on the foot peg and down I went.Tried to get up but couldn't get my leg out because the lace was still caught! When the guys in the pick up behind me got tired of laughing they came to my rescue: )Anyway,+1 on putting balls(of feet)on peg and heel against bike.

You look like you have big feet. I wear size 12 boots but only drag my boots when I'm at the track and even then only when I'm on the limit. Here is a video of how I keep my boots off the deck when I'm getting on it in the twisties:

My Cycle Pirates adjustable pegs help also, as I have them at the same height as OEM but back about 1.5 inches. It makes it very comfortable and you can see I'm pretty leaned over but the boots are far from touching.

I think its cool when my boots are rubbing on the road. My foot pegs usually grind on the road when I ride anyway.

That could get expensive! If you're grinding pegs regularly then you are near maximum lean angle, which might be a bit risky on changeable road surfaces. You may want to consider starting to hang off the inside of the bike during corners. This will decrease your lean angle while keeping the same speed around corners, maximizing your tire contact patches and giving you just a little bit in reserve for those "unforeseen" moments when a little more lean angle may be necessary.

Regarding the boots, do they still make Shoe Goo?

Riding is like sex, even if you're doing it wrong it's still the most fun you'll have all day. Doing it the right way just makes it better. Keep trashing your boots for no good reason other than ignorance man, it's not my cash.

Dragging your boot might seem "cool" to you, but it won't seem all that "cool" when you hit a crack or bump and it pulls your foot off the peg.

If you get in the proper riding position you will find that you have better feel for what the bike is doing and can actually ride better and faster.

Seriously, get some riding boots. Those boots you have now will do more harm than good in a wreck.

I'd agree with 99buellx1. That looks like the inside of the right boot, pick up your feet when starting instead of dragging them like a squid.

I hit the outside of my right foot in a turn:

The next week I had these:

It looks like he might be making up for the lack of stopping power of the rear brake.... Just saying.

Thinks it looks cool with the boots on the ground, boots on the ground.

I was lucky enough to have a friend gift me a used pair Sidi boots and I like them. I have had, like many, the laces of work boots betting caught in on the shifter and the panic that follows is not fun. Keep the work boots at work and let them stare at the strange dude walking into work in future looking space boots.
Can you take a picture of your shagged tire on the sidewalls? I always check that when I see a sportbike parked somewhere. Let's me know who found a twisty road and can bend it in there.

Luis: As Riden showed, they're Joe Rocket Superstreet boots. I got them at a shop in MA. They run a little big, FYI.
