Do any of the aftermarket levers (Pazzo, CRG, ASV, etc) reduce the reach to the clutch more than stock on setting 1 (or 5, can't remember which is closest)? My wife is having trouble modulating the clutch since the release point is so far out. Would shorties be better than full length? ac | ||

The ASV levers do. The only you have to be careful of is to reduce them to much as the clutch doesn't disengage all of the way. As long as you conciously set them, making sure your disengaged all of the way with the clutch pulled in, you can put them as far as you want. I bought my ASVs specifically for this reason. Shorties are going to make the pull two finger only. So, unless she wants to do two finger clutch and brake pulls, I wouldn't recommend them. | ||

My pazzo's are fine, can get 3 fingers on the clutch as i have small hands like a girl  Also a few friends have bought the cheap ones from ebay, they seem absolutly fine, cant tell the difference it i'm honest, they probably wont hold up well in a fall though ! I have the CRG shorties on both clutch and brake. I really like them as they improve both feel and technique. HOWEVER.. When turned full lock to the left, the brake lever contacts the fairing mount and engages the front brake. Very bad! It's only a problem when going very slow or pushing the bike, but almost caused me to drop it once. Probably why American Sport Bike only sells the clutch lever. | ||

my ASV's don't have any clearance issues with the standard length levers. The standard ASVs are about 1/2" shorter than the stock levers. | ||

I'm not sure about the backorder. I ordered mine at the beginning of the season. I bought them direct from ASV. The best thing to do would be to call them direct. | ||

I've heard that the ASV's are on impossible backorder for awhile. True? Depends where you are. They seem very slow to deliver to national distributors, so here in the UK we waited months for deliveries and then they all arrievd at once. Availability is currently good on most options of ASV lever though I think. | ||

I just got ASV shorties, i love them so far. They have a ton of adjustment, and I can fit 3 fingers on the clutch if needed, so im sure your wife would be able to use 3-4 if she has to.  |
