I got it all back together wednesday night. I went for a test ride and the kickstand spring snapped. But the bike is amazing, i can't believe the power it has. pictures: these were taken before the kickstand spring snapped.

It seems that one by one I get all the problems that 1125’s can throw at me. Never had any noticeable problems with the voltage until I had the wiring harness upgrade at 1500 miles. The voltage always seemed to be in the range of 13.8 – 14.2 volts (although didn’t really monitor it) Once changed the voltage was all over the place (and I did monitor it), anywhere between 12.5 and 14.5 volts when driving or on tick over. End result it was not charging and the battery would go flat. Took over a month for the parts to arrive. The clutch felt funny when I checked the bike before going to the dealer, when I looked no fluid in the reservoir. Although there were no drips on the garage floor, the fluid had been leaking from the right hand crankcase cover (Puck?). The bike has been in my dealer for the last two weeks awaiting the replacement part. I am due to go touring this Monday and no sign of the new parts. I know this is a common problem – but what is leaking? The dealer suggests I take the bike touring and just take some fluid with me. Any thoughts? Not very happy with the number of times this otherwise great bike has let me down. Sorry chaps..... seemed to jump a thread (Message edited by jaytea on July 24, 2010) |

clutchreaper, it is supposed to be the stock seat. I ordered it from my dealer, it does look different than the one that came with the bike, but it has higher coefficient of static friction. So it really keeps me on the seat, which i like. As far as comfort, well i never really rode the bike with the stock seat much, so i can't compare the two. |

It is the stock seat that came on the older Firebolts. |
