Still need to add a 240 section tire conversion but apart from that the street brute is almost done.

Flat black ... always looks good. Lightning tail looks killer. I'm surprised about the 240 rear ... how's that gonna work? And why? |

Very nice... Interesting exhaust/belly pan. Is the belly pan custom? Can't quite make out the exhaust... edit: Oh, I see it's a Jardine... (from your profile pic) And the belly pan looks like it's for an XB? Looks awesome... (Message edited by pariah on July 22, 2010) |

Very artistic photography Andros It'll be interesting to find out just how badly a 240 impacts the handling.. It'll look sweet though... |

Too cool! This is what Buell should have come out with as the 2nd-Generation Lightning had they stayed in business. Great job and yes, please provide more pics. Jeff |

Andros, This is an awesome job. It looks really mean. I agree about the handling. Try a Metzeler 200 instead of the 180. That will give you an extra inch of width without affecting the handling by much. Metzelers have a wider footprint.... |

Is there a write up or link to purchase the acerbis hand guards? I really want some handguards, especially for those chilly fall rides, but I have yet to be able to find some that work. |

Use Ulysses handguards. All you have to do is space the mirrors up to clear, and use longer mirror mount bolts. I run CR mirrors on my Uly, no issues...and same switchgear as the CR. |

They are from a Ulysses. But required A LOT of modification to fit the flat drag bar. Its a straight for for the left hand side but the right hand side required modification since the XB switchgear is asymmetrical. Or maybe it was the left side. They were basically reshaped with a heat gun and painted with buell spray phantom metallic paint. |

I love it! The Lightning tail section and seat really changes the pitch of the bike. It looks like its leaning forward. Effect of the shorter tail I guess. The flat black really turns me on. So does the drag bar. The tag holder is nice and clean looking too. I can't see the rear turn signals. Where are they? I noticed the Chin spoiler. Which spoiler is that? It looks like the LR I just bought but haven't yet installed. Awesome job! |

The bike looks great as is--I look at that bike, especially with the good choice in tires, and think that it's ridden by someone who appreciates riding it as it's meant to be ridden. Put a 240 on it and my first impression would be that it's ridden by a poser. It's your bike so you can obviously do with it as you please, but if you go running some oversized tire on the back, all you'll end up impressing is the drag-racing Busa types. |

Andros - you really do have a flair for photography and the bike looks fantastic. Any ideas on price for the belt guard and what matrialis it? |

Call me a poser or whatever. That bike incl upgrades cost 43.000 dollars because of the sick tax system. I use this bike to race trafficlights and scare old people. I race an r6 on the track cause its cheap an fast and i dont really care about it. My buell will never see a track but lots of night blasts around deserted industrial harbours. And lots of wheelies and stoppies. |

You aren't a poser Andros, it is your bike, put whatever you want on it, including a damn Mickey Thompson drag tire, if that is what gets you off. That tail is nasty! |
