OK, I finally found a way to mount a spare cradle and bracket on the S1W - but I don't have a power cord. Has anyone "retired" a Quest or Quest II but still have the wiring? |

If you have a Quest 1, and aren't using the AC adapter that came with it, you can cut that up and adapt it to fit in a $9 RAM cradle. You will need a 5v regulated voltage source, you can just cut up a car charger or a cell phone or make a simple regulator. Not as good or as durable as the real garmin motorcycle mount, but it'll work pretty well for a $15 hack. Having used both now, I'd stalk a good deal on ebay for the full motorcycle mount. It's a nice setup. |

PM me your address. Perhaps after this project miserably fails you will upgrade to a unit that has more functionality than a sundial |

hey. sundials still work. and I like Atari Now, does the AC adaptor have the round 4 pin plug that goes into the cradle? or the USB plug that is blocked by the cradle? |
