Looking for quick advice: The 1/4" allen head screws holding on the intake manifold are wicked seized. I thought they were only torqued to about 10 ft. lbs; PB Blaster, rapping on them to break the seal... nothing. I have a short allen key securely seated into either one of the ones closest to the carb, but no dice. Anyone? |

Ah yes, I know that feeling. I ended up using a breaker bar (a copper pipe in my case) on the allen to get enough torque to get that sucker out. |

Kroil or JP Blaster penetrating oil and patience. Heat and then tap while attempting to loosen. |

Got 'em, the little f&@#ers. I had to try all different angles to be able to get the box end of my 1/4" wrench to a place where I could turn it. Made darned sure the allen was fully seated, and forced. As soon as they came free, it was finger-turning. Go figger. Somebody replaced the left (choke) side bolts with 1/2" hex heads. Very easy. |

Make sure you use a anti-seize product when you put them back in. |
