I would if I had two 1125 bikes, but I don't know that I would trade that S&S bike for my one and only 1125.

Question...What is the expected performance output of a 100" S&S? The only thing I really see on the S&S website is that they want $9000 for a 100" complete engine.

I would like to know how your going to wedge that sportster motor into an XB.
I could see stuffing it into a tuber, but the XB is a different animal...

No. At least not without some explanation regarding the performance of this theoretical xb and why it would be superior to an 1125.

I have no idea if it is possible to stuff an S&S into an XB type setup. I was just wondering if in light of 1125 'stator issues' the Uber 1125 may have wandered a bit off the farm in the minds of HD management?

In the last few decades HD electrical's may have never been the industries best. This fact alone implies an inability for defining the performance requirements of anything electrical.

The cops in our area are moving from BMW to what look like Honda ST1300's. ST's have external alternators.

The HD Board of Directors includes a person serving on the board at Bombardier (row 3 last column)!

I want to believe that this 'group' gets it and;

1. is re-evaluating and investing in what has been a classic HD weakness, their electrical engineering. HD needs more high tech Intel, Boeing, NASA types taking the reins to grow into the next decade.

2. understands that Buell's represented what the sportster should have been all along, a contemporary in the marketplace.

Danny

I was backstage at my local HD shop on Friday, and noticed that the scrap metal/parts barrel had a bunch of stators in it - actually the most common part in there. Hmmm.
