Has anyone used Forward Air for shipping of their bikes inside the US? Seems like their prices are almost too good to be true.

Ricky, My buddy who sells mostly parts & some old junk bikes uses 'em all the time. I've been to the local depot (Denver area) with him & it's a pretty cool operation. Pull up with bike in back of truck, unload it, push it up the ramp into the warehouse, into a crate, strap it down (you supply the tie-downs), lock it up (you supply the lock), sign a bill, bike's on it's way. I think the last one ended up costing somewhere around $500 to go from Denver to Orlando. |

Ricky, My 9R was shipped from Salt Lake City to Syracuse by Forward Air about 3 weeks ago. It was delivered to the SLC loading dock at 4:30pm on a Friday and arrived at Syracuse at 5 pm the following Monday. I thought it would take a week at least so I was impressed by the quick delivery time. The crate and bike came through unscathed and the only bad experience I had was that even though the bike had arrived on a Monday they NEVER called o tell me it was there. I had finally found my dream Buell and was so pumped to get it and it had to sit all alone on a loading dock wondering if anyone would ever come and get it! I finally called them the next Thursday and asked about it and the guy says it had been there for four days. I attempted to politely ask him if they would have ever called to tell me it had arrived and he replied that it was someone else's job to call and they must have forgotten to. |
